Nazril Irham
Nazril Irham (born 16 September 1981), known professionally as Ariel or Ariel "Noah", is an Indonesian singer of Minangkabau ancestry. He is the lead singer of the Indonesian band Noah, formerly known as Peterpan. Ariel founded Peterpan in Bandung in 2000 with Andika, Indra, Lukman, Reza, and Uki. Peterpan's second album '' Bintang di Surga'' (2004) is one of the best-selling albums of all time in Indonesia. He was arrested in 2010 on charges relating to celebrity sex tapes found circulating on the internet after his laptop was stolen. Peterpan changed their name to Noah after Ariel's release in 2012. Noah also received commercial success, with their first album '' Seperti Seharusnya'' (2012) having sold over one million copies. Pangkalan Brandan (or Pangkalanbrandan) (''Pangkalanberandan'') is a port town in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra province, Indonesia, forty miles north west of Medan, close to the boundary with Aceh. The area's population is estimated at 21,000. Oil seepages were known in the archipelago since antiquity, the small ponds containing a mineral wax used for lighting torches and caulking boats. In 1880, East Sumatra Tobacco Company's Aeilko Jans Zijlker discovered these deposits contained up to 62 percent kerosene. Acquiring a concession from the Sultan of Langkat, near the Balaban River called Telaga Said, Zijlker's Provisional Sumatra Petroleum Company drilled the first successful oil well in 1885, called Telega Tunggal No 1. Mohammad Kautsar Hikmat (born October 5, 1981), known professionally as Uki Noah, is an Indonesian former guitarist who is best known as the rhythm and lead guitarist of the pop band Noah for 19 years. Early life He was born in Bandung, West Java, into an educated family. The nickname 'Uki' was given to him by his brother. His father, Hikmat Iskandar, has a Master of Science degree and is a researcher and expert in transportation infrastructure. The family moved to Australia in 1989 and stayed for four years. Uki attended the Bandung Institute of Technology on a scholarship. Uki was also a guest lecturer at the Bandung Institute of Technology.
