National Lampoon's Movie Madness
''National Lampoon's Movie Madness'' is a 1982 American comedy film produced by '' National Lampoon'' as the second film from the magazine. The film was originally produced under the title ''National Lampoon Goes to the Movies''; completed in 1981, the film was not released until 1982, and was reedited and retitled as ''Movie Madness''. ''Movie Madness'' consists of three short segments which satirize personal growth films, glossy soap operas, and police stories. The first two segments of the film, ''Growing Yourself'' and ''Success Wanters'', were directed by Bob Giraldi, while the film's final segment, ''Municipalians'', was directed by Henry Jaglom, and featuring Julie Kavner's first film appearance. Robert Nicholas Giraldi (born January 17, 1939) is an American filmmaker, music video and commercial director, educator, and restaurateur. He is known for directing the film '' Dinner Rush'' (2000) and the music video for Michael Jackson's "Beat It" (1983). Giraldi has been inducted into the Art Director's Hall of Fame, one of the few film directors to be honored; and, in 2014, was the first director ever to be inducted to the Advertising Hall of Fame. Titos Vandis (; 7 November 1917 – 23 February 2003) was a Greek actor. Biography Vandis began his career on the Greek stage in the late 1930s. In 1962, he won the Best Actor award for the film ''Poliorkia'' at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Vandis left Greece when a dictatorship took power and lived in the United States for 24 years. Vandis appeared in over 250 plays before making his Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated musical ''On A Clear Day You Can See Forever'' (1965).
