National Cricket League
The National Cricket League () is the oldest domestic first-class cricket competition in Bangladesh. It is contested by teams representing seven of the eight regional divisions of Bangladesh (there is no team from Mymensingh Division) as well as a team from the Dhaka metropolitan area. History and format The National Cricket League was inaugurated in the 1999–2000 season but was not then first-class. Bangladesh became the tenth Full Member of the International Cricket Council in 2000 and the league became first-class in the 2000–01 season. Limited-overs and Twenty20 tournaments with the same name have also been played in the past. Since 2011–12 there have been eight teams in the league, which usually runs from October to December. From 2011–12 to 2014–15 each team played each other team once over the course of the season. Dhaka Division Cricket Team
The Dhaka Division cricket team is a Bangladeshi first-class cricket, first-class team representing the Dhaka Division, one of the seven administrative regions in Bangladesh. The team competes in the National Cricket League. They play most of their home games at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.The equivalent team in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is the Dhaka Dynamites. Taijul Islam
Taijul Islam (Bengali: তাইজুল ইসলাম; born 7 February 1992) is a Bangladeshi left-arm orthodox spinner who plays for the Bangladesh national cricket team. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in September 2014. Taijul Islam was selected for Bangladesh A after a strong 2013–14 domestic season, and went on to make his Test debut for Bangladesh on its 2014 tour of the West Indies. He took a five-wicket haul on debut, and, when Zimbabwe toured Bangladesh later in the year, took figures of 8/39, the best figures by any Bangladeshi at Test level. He made his ODI debut later in the series, and took a hat-trick, becoming the first ever player to do so on debut. 1999–2000 Bangladeshi Cricket Season
The 1999–2000 cricket season in Bangladesh saw the introduction of the National Cricket League, although it did not have first-class status until the 2000–01 season. Internationally, the country hosted tours by the West Indies, England A and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). International tours In October 1999, West Indies led by Brian Lara played a single first-class match against the Bangladesh national team, which was drawn. The teams also played a two-match series of Limited Overs Internationals (LOI) which West Indies won 2–0. In October and November, an England A team visited Bangladesh ''en route'' to New Zealand and played five matches. Fazle Mahmud
Fazle Mahmud Rabbi (born 13 December 1995) is a first-class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh who is sometimes referred to on scoresheets by his nickname 'Rabbi'. He made his first-class debut for Barisal Division in 2003–04 against Dhaka Division. He was the leading run-scorer for Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club in the 2017–18 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, with 708 runs in 16 matches. In August 2018, he was one of twelve debutants to be selected for a 31-man preliminary squad for Bangladesh ahead of the 2018 Asia Cup. Rajshahi Division Cricket Team
The Rajshahi Division cricket team is a Bangladeshi first-class cricket, first-class team representing the Rajshahi Division, one of the country's seven administrative regions. The team competes in the National Cricket League and was formerly a participant in the now-defunct National Cricket League#National Cricket League One-Day winners, National Cricket League One-Day. Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium
Khulna Divisional Stadium, (, previously known as Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium and Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium) is a test cricket venue in Khulna, Bangladesh. History Khulna, situated in the south-western corner of the country, is the third-largest industrial centre in Bangladesh.
