Nalin Jayawardena
Nalin Jayawardena (Sinhala : නලින් ජයවර්ධන) (born 18 April 1957) is a popular Sri Lankan singer and vocalist. He was the first Sri Lankan singer to release an internet based audio album in Sinhala allowing his fans from around the world to download the album free of charge. This album titled Kanda Paamule was released in 2004. Nalin Jayawardena lives in Perth, Australia. He has released more than 21 CDs including several tribute CDs for the legendary singer HR Jothipala . Nalin Jayawardena has sung over 350 original songs and over 20 videos of his songs are available online. Nalin Vilochan Sharma
Pandit Nalin Vilochan Sharma (18 February 1916 – 12 September 1961) was a professor of Hindi Literature in University of Patna. He started the ''Nakenwad'' movement in Hindi literature. He was the son of Mahamahopadhyaya Pandit Ram Avatar Sharma and was born in a Bhumihar Brahmin family of scholars and pursued the same path of scholarship becoming the professor of Hindi Literature in University of Patna. Lieutenant General Nalin K. B. Angammana () (1945 – 1995) was a senior Sri Lanka Army officer, who was the former General Officer Commanding, 3 Division. Nalin Perera (singer)
Nalin Perera (born 15 October 1969) is a Sri Lankan singer, songwriter, and composer. A popular musician, he founded the band Marians in 1988 which has become one of popular bands in Sri Lanka. Mahabaduge Nalin Anjelo Perera was born on 15 October 1969 in Chilaw to Christopher Perera and Miriam Perera, he was the eldest of five siblings. Perera was educated at St. Mary's College, Chilaw. Inspired by Sunil Perera, young Nalin joined the group Nightingales as a vocalist in 1985. In 1988, Nalin became the head prefect of his school and with the help of the school principal Rev. Bro. Alosious, he formed the band with his school friends and named it "Marians". The first concert of the Marians was held on 11 February 1988 at Sudasuna auditorium. David R. Nalin (born April 21, 1941) is an American physiologist, and Pollin Prize for Pediatric Research and Prince Mahidol Award, a.k.a. Mahidol Medal winner. Nalin had the key insight that oral rehydration therapy (ORT) would work if the volume of solution patients drank matched the volume of their fluid losses, and that this would drastically reduce or completely replace the only current treatment for cholera, intravenous therapy. Nalin led the trials that first demonstrated ORT works, both in cholera patients, and more significantly, also in other dehydrating diarrhea illnesses. Thakurartha Devadithya Guardiyawasam Lindamulage Nalin Kumar de Silva ( Sinhala: නලින් ද සිල්වා; 20 October 1944 – 1 May 2024) was a Sri Lankan philosopher, polymath and a political analyst. Nalin H. Samarasinha (born 1958) is a Sri Lankan born planetary scientist and a discoverer of minor planets, who studies the dynamical evolution and processes of cometary nuclei and comae. Currently, he works as a senior scientist for the Planetary Science Institute in the United States. Early life Samarasinha earned a BSc first class honours in Physics from University of Colombo after schooling at Hena Vidyalaya, Mt. Lavinia and Nalanda College Colombo.
