The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is an American professional wrestling professional wrestling promotion, promotion and governing body owned by Billy Corgan and operated by its parent company Lightning One, Inc. Founded in 1948, the NWA began as the governing body for a group of regional promotions, the heads of which made up the board of directors. The group operated a List of National Wrestling Alliance territories, territory system which sanctioned their own company Championship (professional wrestling), championships while recognizing a singular world champion who defended his title across all the territories, participated in talent exchanges, and collectively protected the territorial integrity of member promotions. Evelyn Jardine Riegle is an American retired professional wrestler, better known by her ring name Evelyn Stevens. Early life Riegle was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Professional wrestling career Riegle debuted in 1961 at the age of 23, using the ring name "Evelyn Stevens". She worked as a heel in the Great Plains, Midwest, and Missouri regions before moving to Texas. In 1969, Riegle wrestled in Australia with World Championship Wrestling. From the late-1960s to the late-1980s she held the NWA Texas Women's Championship on five occasions. In October 1978, she held the National Wrestling Alliance World Women's Championship for two days, defeating the Fabulous Moolah in a bout in Dallas booked by Gary Hart. Patty Seymour (born January 23, 1957) is an American retired professional wrestling, professional wrestler, better known by her ring name Leilani Kai. She is best known for her work in All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling (AJW) and the WWE, World Wrestling Federation from the 1980s to the 1990s. Mary Charlene Noble (October 15, 1940 – April 27, 2006), known from childhood by her nickname Kay Noble, was an American professional wrestler. Her career spanned from the 1950s to the 1980s, during which time she was known for her toughness in the ring. She worked along well-known female professional wrestlers such as Penny Banner, The Fabulous Moolah, and Gladys Gillem. She also wrestled in mixed tag team matches with partners such as her husband Doug Gilbert and Terry Funk.
