NU'EST Albums
NU'EST (; short for New Establish Style Tempo) was a South Korean boy band formed and managed by Pledis Entertainment. The group consisted of five members: JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren. They debuted on March 15, 2012, with the single titled "Face". The group disbanded on March 15, 2022, after Aron, JR, and Ren left Pledis Entertainment upon the completion of their 10-year contract. History Pre-debut Prior to their debut, NU'EST made appearances in their labelmates' music releases. They were backup dancers for After School Blue's "Wonder Boy", and featured in their label's Christmas release "Love Letter". Ren (singer)
Choi Min-gi (; born November 3, 1995), known professionally as Ren (), is a South Korean singer, actor and television personality. He began his professional career in 2012 as a vocalist of the South Korean boy group NU'EST. Following his contract's expiration in Pledis Entertainment in March 2022, Choi established his career as a solo artist signed under BPM Entertainment. Career Pre-debut Ren was accepted into Pledis Entertainment after auditioning in 2010. Prior to debuting, Ren appeared as a back-up dancer in After School Blue's "Wonder Boy" in 2011. Park Soo-ah
Park Soo-young (; born July 31, 1992), is a South Korean singer and actress. She debuted under the stage name Lizzy () as a member of the South Korean girl group After School (band), After School in March 2010 and later formed part of the group's sub-units, Orange Caramel and After School Blue. She made her solo debut in January 2015 with the digital single "Not an Easy Girl". Outside of her music career, Park has starred in various television dramas, including ''All My Love (TV series), All My Love'' (2011) and ''Angry Mom'' (2015). In May 2018, Park graduated from After School following the expiration of her contract, but remains a member of Orange Caramel. KCON (music Festival)
KCON is an annual convention held in locations across the world, created by Koreaboo and organized by CJ ENM Entertainment Division. It was first held in Southern California in 2012 and has since expanded to ten countries as of 2022. In 2015, KCON expanded to Japan and then quickly announced the first KCON USA on the East Coast of the United States, East Coast. The Korea Scout Association () is the national Scouting association of South Korea. Scouting was founded in Korea in 1922 while under Japanese rule, and sent representatives to the first Far East Scouting competition in Beijing in 1924. ''Action'' is the first mini-album by South Korean boy group NU'EST. It was released on July 11, 2012, by Pledis Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. The EP was a commercial success peaking at number 4 on the Gaon Album Chart. The EP has sold over 20,770 hard copies as of December 2012. Background and release On the 27th of June, 2012, it was announced that NU'EST will make a comeback in Mid-July with a new album. On July 1, the album jacket photo as well as the release date of their new mini-album was revealed. ''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet from the CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. It features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. First hosted by Leeteuk, Shindong, and Kangin of Super Junior, the show has had various celebrity emcees through the years. As of March 2025, ''M Countdown'' is hosted by Sung Han-bin of Zerobaseone and Myung Jae-hyun of BoyNextDoor. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday.
