The thirteenth season of the American police procedural drama ''NCIS'' premiered on September 22, 2015, in the same time slot as in the previous seasons, Tuesdays at 8 pm. ''NCIS'' revolves around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which conducts criminal investigations involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Thomas Mark Harmon (born September 2, 1951) is an American actor, writer, producer, television director and former American football, football player. He is best known for playing the lead role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on ''NCIS (TV series), NCIS''.
