MuchMusic Video Awards
The iHeartRadio MMVAs were an annual awards show broadcast on Much to honour the year's best music videos that was last held in 2018. Originally debuting in 1990 as the Canadian Music Video Awards, the awards were renamed in 1995 to the MuchMusic Video Awards, reflecting the original (1984–2013) "MuchMusic" name of the Much channel. In 2016, the show was rebranded under the iHeartRadio banner after Much's parent company, Bell Media, reached a licensing agreement with iHeartMedia. In 2018, the show's full name was officially dropped. In 2019, six years after changing the name of MuchMusic to Much, and having reduced its music video programming to just one hour daily (''Much Retro Lunch''), the ceremony was not held, citing supposed scheduling conflicts with other events occurring in Toronto. Hedley (band)
Hedley was a Canadian pop rock group that originated in Abbotsford, British Columbia, originally formed in 2003. They were named after the unincorporated community of Hedley, British Columbia, a name chosen after members heard that it was for sale for $346,000. After lead singer Jacob Hoggard placed third on the second season of '' Canadian Idol'' in 2004, the group signed with Universal Music Canada and released their self-titled debut studio album the following year. After signing an international recording contract with Capitol Records in 2006, which brought them an increased American following. "Haven't Had Enough" is a song recorded by Canadian pop punk band Marianas Trench for their third studio album, ''Ever After'' (2011). It was released July 19, 2011 as the album's lead single. The song debuted at #9 on the Canadian Hot 100 and was certified Platinum by Music Canada in December 2011; it was later certified 3× Platinum in March 2023. Background and composition The band released a couple of teasers of the song via their YouTube channel prior to the release of the single. Marianas Trench are a Canadian pop rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 1999 by Josh Ramsay (lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, pianist) and lead guitarist Steve Marshall with Ramsay's sister Sara on keyboards and vocals, Erik Scott on drums and Trev Spilchen on bass. Originally called Ramsay Fiction, Marshall suggested a name change when Ramsay's high school friend Matt Webb, drummer Ian Casselman and Morgan Hempstead on bass, replaced Spilchen and Sara Ramsay. Mike Ayley, a long time friend of Casselman took up bass responsibilities when Hempstead and Marshall left the band in 2004, taking the 5 piece down to 4. Daniel "Danny" Fernandes (born September 16, 1985) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He was signed to CP Records from 2008 until January 2014. Personal life Danny Fernandes is of Portuguese descent. He has a younger brother named Jonathan and they are both the younger brothers of Canadian artist Shawn Desman (born Shawn Fernandes).
