Anika Shay Wells (born 11 August 1985) is an Australian politician who has been a member of the Australian House of Representatives, House of Representatives since the 2019 Australian federal election, 2019 federal election. John Cain is a lawyer and son and grandson of the 41st and 34th Premiers of Victoria, Australia. Biography Cain studied law and economics at Monash University. John Button (Australian Politician)
John Norman Button (30 June 19338 April 2008) was an Australian politician, who served as a senior minister in the Hawke and Keating Labor governments. He was notable for the Button car plan, which involved modernising Australia's car industry by reducing tariffs and government protection. Biography Button was born in Ballarat, Victoria, and was educated at The Geelong College and the University of Melbourne where he graduated in arts and law. Bernard Michael Murphy is a judge of the Federal Court of Australia. He was appointed to the Federal Court in 2011 and was the first solicitor from Victoria to be appointed directly to the Federal Court bench. Early life and career Murphy was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Laws in 1978. William Slater (c. 20 May 1890 – 19 June 1960) was an Australian lawyer, politician and diplomat. Early life Slater is believed to have been born around 20 May 1890 to William Slater, a travelling salesman and Maria (nee O’Reilly or Reilly) in Wangaratta, Victoria. He had two siblings. After his father left his family when he was four years old, he and his two siblings were brought up by his mother in poverty in Prahran. After briefly attending Armadale State School, Slater left school early to sell newspapers outside the Alfred Hospital Melbourne, he had no shoes.
