Maryland's 6th congressional district elects a representative to the United States House of Representatives from the northwest part of the state. The district comprises all of Garrett County, Maryland, Garrett, Allegany County, Maryland, Allegany, Frederick County, Maryland, Frederick, and Washington County, Maryland, Washington counties as well as a portion of Montgomery County, Maryland, Montgomery County. David Trone (Democratic Party (United States), D), who lives outside the district, is its current representative. The previous boundaries of the district were the subject of a Supreme Court lawsuit over partisan gerrymandering. John Kevin Delaney (born April 16, 1963) is an American politician, businessman, and former attorney who was the United States representative for Maryland's 6th congressional district from 2013 to 2019.
