Marija Gluvakov – Medenica (Serbian Cyrillic: Марија Глуваков – Меденица) (born 3 April 1973), is a Serbian pianist and piano teacher. Education Gluvakov was born in Senta, Serbia, formerly Yugoslavia. She received her early training in music schools in Novi Kneževac, Bihać and Zemun. She graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 1995, as the best student of the year. Senta
Senta ( sr-cyrl, Сента, ; Hungarian: ''Zenta'', ; Romanian: ''Zenta'') is a town and municipality located in the North Banat District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It is situated on the bank of the Tisa river in the geographical region of Bačka. The town has a population of 18,704, whilst the Senta municipality has 23,316 inhabitants (2011 census). History Archaeological finds indicate that the area around the modern settlement was populated from the prehistoric times. Neolithic and eneolithic societies settled in the vicinity of modern Senta thousands of years ago leaving credible traces of their presence. The Manhattan School of Music (MSM) is a private music conservatory in New York City. The school offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in the areas of classical and jazz performance and composition, as well as a bachelor's in musical theatre. Sergei Dorensky
Sergei Leonidovich Dorensky (russian: Серге́й Леони́дович Доре́нский; 3 December 1931 – 26 February 2020) was a Russian pianist. He was trained under Grigory Ginsburg at the Moscow Conservatory. Dorensky was awarded a gold medal at the 5th World Festival of Youth and Students and the 1957 Rio de Janeiro Competition's 2nd prize, which allowed him to perform throughout Western Europe and America. That same year he was appointed a teacher at the Moscow Conservatory, where he held a professorship from 1978 until 1997. He has taught many wonderful pianists, which include Nikolai Lugansky, Denis Matsuev, Alexander Shtarkman, Olga Kern, Feodor Amirov, Andrei Pisarev and Ramzi Yassa. Rita Kinka (born 1962, in Subotica), is a Serbian pianist of Hungarian descent. She graduated at the University of Novi Sad's Academy of Arts (where she is currently a professor) under Arbo Valdma, and finished her studies at the Juilliard School under György Sándor after she was granted the Gina Bachauer scholarship. Arbo Valdma (born 20 February 1942 in Pärnu) is an Estonian pianist and music pedagogue. He is a professor of piano at the University of Music in Cologne (Germany). He received his musical education at the Music Academy in Tallinn (Estonia) under Bruno Lukk (himself a student of Arthur Schnabel and Paul Hindemith) and later with Nina Emelyanova (a former student of Samuel Feinberg) at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow (Masters and Doctorate degrees).
