Myanmar Women's National Football Team
The Myanmar women's national football team is the female association football team representing Myanmar and is under the management of Myanmar Football Federation (MFF). History Myanmar played its first game in 1995, against the Philippines, which they drew 1-1 in the 1995 Southeast Asian Games. Since then, Myanmar has received more money from the state and improved its game. In 2005, the country was one of several teams that included Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, East Timor, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Burma and Singapore, that fielded a women's football team to compete at the Asian Games in Marikina in December. Myanmar first took part in the 2003 AFC Women's Championship held in Thailand, and has since qualified five times. They have never progressed beyond the group stage in the tournament. 2006 AFC Women's Asian Cup
The 2006 AFC Women's Asian Cup was a women's football tournament for women's national teams from countries affiliated to the Asian Football Confederation. It was the 15th installment of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. Unlike the previous tournament which was held every two years, the tournament was moved back a year to 2006. The structure of the competition changed for this tournament, with a qualifying tournament and a separate championship tournament. The four qualifiers of the sub-tournament (Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Myanmar, Thailand) went on to compete for the Championship proper against the four automatic finalists (China, Japan, South Korea and North Korea). Pyari Xaxa (born 18 May 1997) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Indian Women's League club Odisha and the India national team. Club career Xaxa began her football career with the club Kunwarmunda based in her home State of Odisha. In 2016, she was signed by Rising Student to play in the inaugural season of the Indian Women's League. She finished the season with 14 goals, with ten in the preliminary and four in the final round. The 1995 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Southeast Asian Games, Chiang Mai, 1995 (), were a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 9 to 17 December 1995. The ASEAN Women's Championship (formerly known as the AFF Women's Championship), currently known as the MSIG Serenity Cup for sponsorship reasons is the competition in women's football organized by the ASEAN Football Federation.
