''MuchTopTens'' was a two-hour-long television program. It was aired on Thursdays at 7:00PM ET on MuchMusic, a Canadian television station. MuchMusic
Much (an abbreviation for its full name MuchMusic) is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. MuchMusic launched on August 31, 1984, under the ownership of CHUM Limited, and was originally focused on music programming, including blocks of music videos and original series focusing on Canadian musicians. In the years since its acquisition by Bell, Much has cancelled the majority of its music programming due to budget and staffing cuts. A video jockey (abbreviated VJ or sometimes veejay) is an announcer or host who introduces music videos and live performances on commercial music television channels such as MTV, VH1, MuchMusic and Channel V. Origins The term "video jockey" comes from the term "disc jockey", "DJ" ("deejay") as used in radio. Music Television (MTV) popularized the term in the 1980s (see List of MTV VJs). Rick Campanelli (born January 5, 1970) is a Canadian television and radio personality known for his work as a VJ and host for MuchMusic and for co-hosting '' ET Canada''. He joined Z103.5FM CIDC-FM in November 2021, and is currently co-host of the morning show. Life and career Campanelli is a native of Hamilton, Ontario, and grew up in a working class Italian-Canadian family; he is the youngest of four siblings. Campanelli and his family are Roman Catholic. Campanelli attended school in St. Catharines. He attended Brock University, earning a degree in physical education. Amanda Walsh (born October 3, 1981) is a Canadian actress, writer, and former VJ for the Canadian television station MuchMusic. Early life Walsh was born in Rigaud, Quebec. She went to Hudson High School, in Hudson, Quebec. Career Walsh started her acting career "acting" out of border-crossing scenarios at the Canada Customs college in her hometown of Rigaud. Devon Soltendieck
Devon Soltendieck is a Canadian television entertainment reporter. He has been a MuchMusic VJ, and from early 2010 until January 2013 an anchor and reporter on CP24. Early life Soltendieck attended a summer school for two months in Villars, Switzerland. He returned to Canada to finish high school and graduated from Selwyn House School in Westmount, Quebec, then from Dawson College CEGEP. While a student at Dawson, Soltendieck helped run the school newspaper. Before he was hired by MuchMusic, Soltendieck was a student of Economics and Political Science at Concordia University and continued his education in Finance at the University of Toronto thereafter.
