The Movement of Ecologists – Citizens' Cooperation (, ΚΟΣΠ, KOSP), formerly known as the Ecological and Environmental Movement (), is a Green politics, green List of political parties in Cyprus, political party in Cyprus. In both the 2001 Cypriot legislative election, 2001 and 2006 Cypriot legislative election, 2006 legislative elections, the party won 2.0% of the popular vote and 1 of 56 seats. In 2011 Cypriot legislative election, 2011, it garnered 2.2% of the popular vote, and its sole parliamentarian, George Perdikes, retained his seat. The party increased its seat count from 1 to 2 following the 2016 Cypriot legislative election, 2016 legislative elections, where it obtained 4.8% of the vote, coming in seventh place. In the same year, the party adopted its current name and a new logo. 2024 European Parliament Election In Cyprus
The 2024 European Parliament elections in Cyprus was held on 9 June 2024 as part of the 2024 European Parliament election. This was the fifth parliamentary election since Cyprus’s EU accession in 2004. The centre-right Democratic Rally (DISY), which has won every previous election to this body, emerged victorious again with 24.8% of the votes, securing 2 seats. The communist party AKEL followed with 21.5% and 1 seat. Parliamentary elections were held in Cyprus on 30 May 2021 to elect 56 of the 80 Members of the House of Representatives. Electoral system The 80 members of the House of Representatives are elected from six multi-member constituencies, with the number of seats allocated according to the population of each area. Of the 80, 56 are elected by Greek Cypriots and 24 by Turkish Cypriots. However, since 1964, the Turkish Cypriot seats are unfilled and the House of Representatives has de facto had 56 seats since its enlargement in the 1980s. 2011 Cypriot Legislative Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Cyprus on 22 May 2011 to elect the 56 Members of the House of Representatives. They were won by the Democratic Rally, who increased their seats from 18 to 20. The governing Progressive Party of Working People also gained a seat, bringing them up to 19. The Democratic Party lost two of their 11 seats and the European Party lost one of their three seats.
