Lark (sometimes stylised as LARK) are a South African glitch electronica band from Cape Town. Formed in 2003, the group consists of Inge Beckmann (vocals), Paul Ressel (sequencers and analog systems), Simon "Fuzzy" Ratcliffe (bass guitar and woodwinds), and Sean Ou Tim (drums and percussion). They are often cited as "groundbreaking musicians", who were the key contributors to establishing experimental and intelligent dance music in South Africa. Just Music were a German avant-garde music ensemble, an interchangeable collective of classically trained instrumentalists founded at the , Frankfurt/Main in 1967 by multi-instrumentalist Alfred Harth. An inherent anti-commercial bias kept them at arm's length from the mainstream music business, enabling them to experiment at will. ''Razbliuto!'' is the debut album of South African Glitch (music), glitch-electronica band Lark (band), Lark. It was produced by Paul Ressel, and released in August 2006 on Just Music. The album art was designed by Nigel Moore, with sleeve photography by Natasja Fourie. Reception The album received much praise from critics, and won South African Music Award for Best Alternative Album, Best Alternative Album at the 13th South African Music Awards in 2007. The music critic, Marcus Louw, remarked that the album's strength "lies in the way in which Lark manage to be quite adventurous and experimental while still remaining accessible".
