Moran Bluff
Shepard Island () is an island about long, lying west of Grant Island off the coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. The island is ice capped except at its northern, seaward side, and is almost wholly embedded in the Getz Ice Shelf. Location Shepard Island is in the north of the Getz Ice Shelf. Reynolds Strait is on its north side, separating it from Forrester Island. Grant Island is to the east. It is home to two Adélie penguin rookeries on its north shore. Features, from west to east, include Worley Point, Mount Petinos, Moran Bluff, Mathewson Point and Mount Colburn. Mount Moran () is a mountain in Grand Teton National Park of western Wyoming, United States, USA. The mountain is named for Thomas Moran, an American western frontier landscape artist. Mount Moran dominates the northern section of the Teton Range rising above Jackson Lake (Wyoming), Jackson Lake. Several active glaciers exist on the mountain with Skillet Glacier plainly visible on the monolithic east face. Like the Middle Teton in the same range, Mount Moran's face is marked by a distinctive basaltic, basalt intrusion known as the Black Dike. Moran Township, Todd County, Minnesota
Moran Township is a township in Todd County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 515 at the 2000 census. By the 2020 census the population had declined to 48 Moran Township was organized in 1877, and named after Moran Creek (Minnesota), Moran Creek which joins the Long Prairie River in the township. Upham says that Moran Creek was named for an early lumberman. He also writes that there was a post office called Miram Brook there from 1874 - ’76. At a later date the post office was transferred to William J. Graves hotel in the village of Moran. The post office closed in 1914. Moran State Park is a public recreation area on Orcas Island in Puget Sound's San Juan Islands in the state of Washington, United States. The state park encompasses over 5,000 acres of various terrain including forests, wetlands, bogs, hills, and lakes. It is the largest public recreation area in the San Juan Islands and the fourth largest state park in the state.
