Montreal Carabins Women's Ice Hockey
The Montreal Carabins women's ice hockey team defend the colours of the Université de Montréal and are members of the Quebec Student Sports Federation (RSEQ), and compete for the Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's ice hockey championship. One Carabins player have participated internationally, including the World Student Games. Home games are contested at Winter Stadium (Montreal), l'aréna du CEPSUM. In addition, the Women's ice hockey team are connected to the club Montreal Carabins. History The 2009–10 Montreal Carabins women's ice hockey season, 2009-10 season was their first competing in CIS. The Montréal Carabins () are the men's and women's athletic teams that represent the Université de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Teams play at the CEPSUM Stadium and at Winter Stadium (Montreal), l'aréna du CEPSUM, located at the Université de Montréal campus. History Varsity teams Football The Carabins U Sports football, football program was originally in operation from 1966 to 1971, but was cut following a philosophical change with intercollegiate athletics among Quebec universities at the time. As that perception changed, the football team was reinstated in 2002 and has been in continuous operation since. The team has won five Dunsmore Cup conference championships (2014, 2015, 2019, 2021 and 2023) and two Vanier Cups national championship (50th Vanier Cup, 2014, 58th Vanier Cup, 2023). The Moncton Aigles Bleus and Bleues (; French for: ''Moncton Blue Eagles'') are the athletic teams that represent Université de Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. They play in U Sports, which encompasses university teams from across Canada, and play within the Atlantic University Sport conference. The name Moncton Aigles Bleus was formerly used for male teams only, with the female teams being called the Moncton Anges Bleus, but now the women's teams are called the Moncton Aigles Bleues. LaSalle () is the most southerly borough (''arrondissement'') of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Maine Black Bears Women's Ice Hockey
The Maine Black Bears women’s ice hockey team represents the University of Maine. The team plays their home games in Alfond Arena. The team's first year of play was in 1997–98. The Black Bears finished 6th in the 2019–2020 season, advancing to the semi-finals of the Hockey East tournament, before losing to the eventual champions Northeastern Huskies by a score of 1–3. The 2020 Hockey East women's ice hockey tournament was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but Maine would not have qualified even if the tournament had been played. A lynx ( ; : lynx or lynxes) is any of the four extant species (the Canada lynx, Iberian lynx, Eurasian lynx and the bobcat) within the medium-sized wild cat genus ''Lynx''. The Ottawa Gee-Gees () are the athletic teams that represent the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario.
