Montenegro National Basketball Team
The Montenegro men's national basketball team () represents Montenegro in international basketball tournaments. The supervising body is the Basketball Federation of Montenegro. Montenegro joined FIBA in 2006, following the restoration of 2006 Montenegrin independence referendum, Montenegrin independence in the same year. Since 2006, Montenegro has qualified for EuroBasket five times (EuroBasket 2011, 2011, EuroBasket 2013, 2013, EuroBasket 2017, 2017, EuroBasket 2022, 2022, EuroBasket 2025, 2025). They have reached the global stage at the FIBA World Cup twice, in 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, 2019 and 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, 2023. Boško Radović (Serbian Cyrillic: Бошко Радовић; born 26 May 1979) is a Montenegrin professional basketball coach who is currently the head coach for Montenegrin national basketball team, since December 2019 and resignation of Zvezdan Mitrović from the post, prior promotion to head coach he was assistant coach for national team, during the tenure of Mitrović and Bogdan Tanjević, between 2015 and December 2019. EuroBasket 2022
The EuroBasket 2022 was the 41st edition of the EuroBasket championship organized by FIBA Europe. It was the first since it was agreed it would take place every four years, with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. It was originally scheduled to take place between 2 and 19 September 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to 2021, it was postponed to September 2022. Like the previous two editions, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, and Italy. The knock-out phase was played in Berlin, Germany. Luka Pavićević
Luka Pavićević ( sr-cyr, Лука Павићевић; born 17 June 1968) is a Montenegrin professional basketball coach and former player. Most recently, he served as the head coach for Alvark Tokyo of the Japanese B.League. A point guard, Pavićević played basketball between 1982 and 2003. During his playing days, he played for Budućnost, Cibona, Jugoplastika / Pop 84, Proleter Zrenjanin, Crvena zvezda, FMP, Beobanka, Soproni Ászok, Espoon Honka, Anwil Włocławek, Rabotnički, and Besançon. Dejan Radonjić
Dejan Radonjić ( sr-cyr, Дејан Радоњић; born 2 February 1970) is a Montenegrin professional basketball coach and former basketball player. He was most recently the head coach for Bahçeşehir Koleji of the BSL. Standing at , he played in the point guard position for Lovćen, Budućnost, Profikolor, FMP Železnik, and NIS Vojvodina. He won three YUBA League championships and a Yugoslav Cup with Budućnost. He retired as a player with NIS Vojvodina in 2004. Radonjić became the head coach for Budućnost in 2005. Eurobasket 2011
EuroBasket 2011 was the 37th men's European Basketball Championship, held by FIBA Europe. The competition was hosted by Lithuania. This was the second time EuroBasket had been held in Lithuania, the country having also hosted the 1939 championship. FIBA Europe asserted that Lithuania managed to organize the best European championship in its history. The top two teams are guaranteed spots at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Nikola Peković (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Пековић; born 3 January 1986) is a Montenegrin businessman, basketball executive and former professional player who is the current president of the Basketball Federation of Montenegro. Nikola Vučević
Nikola Vučević ( sr-Cyrl, Никола Вучевић, ; born 24 October 1990) is a Montenegrin professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the USC Trojans before being drafted 16th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Vučević, who spent his rookie season with the 76ers, was traded to Orlando Magic before the start of the 2012–13 season as a part of the four-team trade that sent Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Israel men's national basketball team () represents Israel in international basketball tournaments. They are administered by the Israeli Basketball Association. Duško Vujošević ( sr-Cyrl, Душко Вујошевић; born 3 March 1959) is a Serbian former basketball Coach (basketball), coach. He is currently active as coach consultant of the Montenegrin ABA League club KK Studentski centar, Studentski centar since 2022. 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 19th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams, held from 25 August to 10 September 2023.
