''Money in the Bank'' is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the United States on 9 January 1942 by Doubleday, Doran, New York, and in the United Kingdom on 27 May 1946 by Herbert Jenkins, London. The UK publication was delayed while Wodehouse was under suspicion of collaboration during the Second World War. The country house Shipley Hall, which features in this novel and '' Something Fishy'' (1957), was based on a real house, Fairlawne, where Wodehouse's daughter Leonora lived after she married in 1932. Plot summary J. G. "Jeff" Miller, a jovial and athletic writer of thrillers, attempts a career as a lawyer at the insistence of his imposing fiancée Myrtle Shoesmith. His first court appearance is ruined when he recognizes an opposing witness as Lionel Green, who was his archenemy at school. Jeff's insulting cross-questioning of Lionel is reported in the newspapers, and Myrtle disgustedly breaks off their engagement. Relieved to be free of her, Jeff gets drunk. ...

The Money in the Bank ladder match is a multi-person ladder match held by the professional wrestling promotion WWE. First performed at WWE's annual WrestleMania event beginning in 2005, a separate WWE Money in the Bank, Money in the Bank event was established in 2010. The prize of the match is a briefcase containing a contract for a Professional wrestling championship, championship match of the winner's choice, which, within WWEs Kayfabe, fictional storyline, can be "cashed in" by the holder of the briefcase at any point in the year following their victory. If the contract is not used within a year of winning it, it will be invalid, but this has yet to happen. From its inception until 2017, the match only involved male wrestlers, with the contract being for a World championship (professional wrestling), world championship match. WWE Money in the Bank is a professional wrestling event, produced annually since 2010 by the American company WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling promotion. The event is named after the Money in the Bank ladder match, a multi-person ladder match in which participants compete to obtain a briefcase that contains a contract for a championship match, which can be "cashed in" at a time and place of their choosing within the next year. The match originally only took place at WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania, from 2005 to 2010, after which, the match concept was spun off into its own event beginning in July that year with the match no longer occurring at WrestleMania. In addition to airing on traditional pay-per-view (PPV) since the inaugural 2010 event, the event has been available via livestreaming since the 2014 event.
