Bacoor (), officially the City of Bacoor (), is a Cities of the Philippines#Legal classification, component city in the Provinces of the Philippines, province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 664,625 people, making it the 15th most populous city in the Philippines and the second largest city in the province of Cavite after Dasmariñas. Etymology The name of Bacoor is transcribed in old sources variously as "Bacoor", "Bacor", "Bakur", etc. It was originally the name of the Bacoor Bay which separates the Cavite peninsula from the mainland. Fernando García del Molino (23 March 1813, Santiago — 1899, Buenos Aires) was a Viceroyalty of Peru-born Argentine portrait painter, miniaturist and lithographer. El Molino Viejo, also known as The Old Mill, is a former grist mill in the San Rafael Hills of present-day San Marino, California, United States, and was built in 1816 by Father José María de Zalvidea from the Mission San Gabriel Arcángel (San Gabriel Mission). It is the oldest commercial building in Southern California, and was one of the first ten sites in Los Angeles County to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, receiving the recognition in 1971. The Molino de Pérez is a watermill which was built by the Uruguayan merchant Juan María Pérez in 1840. It's located in what nowadays is known as the Veltroni Passage, near Rambla O´Higgins (the promenade of Montevideo) and Alejandro Gallinal. It became a national historical heritage in 1975. The Molino Dam or Prinza Water Dam is a gravity dam on the Zapote River located on the border between Barangay San Nicolas I, Bacoor, Cavite and Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was built by hand in the 19th century to irrigate the surrounding rice field in Las Piñas and Bacoor. Walter Molino (5 November 1915 – 8 December 1997) was an Italian comics artist and illustrator. Life and career Born in Reggio Emilia, Molino made his professional debut as illustrator and caricaturist in 1935, collaborating with the newspaper ''Il Popolo d'Italia'' and the children's magazines ''Il Monello'' and ''L'Intrepido (magazine), L'Intrepido''.
