Mohamed Omar (born January 22, 1999) is a footballer who currently plays as a midfielder or a centre-back for San Antonio FC in the USL Championship. Born in Canada, he plays for the Somalia national team. Early life In 2013, he joined the Toronto FC Academy. He later moved to the United States to attend high school at the Berkshire School, also playing club soccer with Black Rock FC. He was named the top high school player in Massachusetts in 2017. He later spent some time training with Toronto FC II when he returned home over the summer. College career In 2018, he began attending the University of Notre Dame, where he played for the men's soccer team. He scored his first goal on September 6, 2019 against the Seattle Redhawks. In his senior year in 2021, he was named team captain. 2022 MLS SuperDraft
The 2022 MLS SuperDraft was the 23rd edition of the SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The SuperDraft is held every January prior to the start of the MLS season and has been conducted via conference calls since 2020. Previously, the SuperDraft had been held in conjunction with the annual January United Soccer Coaches convention. Since 2021, the SuperDraft consists of three rounds. The Clemson Tigers men's soccer team represent Clemson University in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I soccer. The program has won 4 NCAA national championships, 16 Atlantic Coast Conference championships, and hosted 4 Hermann Trophy winners ( Bruce Murray in 1987, Wojtek Krakowiak in 1998, Robbie Robinson in 2019, and Ousmane Sylla in 2023). The 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament was the 63rd edition of the NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, a postseason tournament that determined the national champion of the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The College Cup, the semifinals and finals of the tournament, were played on December 10 and December 12 in Cary, North Carolina. Qualification Pending the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, 48 teams have been selected to participate.
