Mobilità di Marca S.p.A. (MOM) is the unique public transportation company based on buses in the Province of Treviso, working since December 30, 2011. History In 2008, the Province of Treviso, as a financial corporation for local public transportation, launched the merging project for the four companies which worked as far as that sector was concerned, that is to say ACTT, La Marca, CTM and ATM. MOM was officially founded on December 30, 2011 and a technical period was tested until December 31, 2013 to redesign workers' contracts, transport lines and a single tariff plan, in order to create a big economical society. Carbonera (''Carbonèra'' in the Venetian language) is a comune with 11,196 inhabitants in the province of Treviso, Veneto, northern Italy. It borders the municipalities of Treviso, Villorba, Spresiano, Maserada sul Piave, Breda di Piave and San Biagio di Callalta. The municipality of Carbonera includes the following villages or : Mignagola, Pezzan, Biban, San Giacomo di Musestrelle and Vascon. Origin and history Origin of name The name ''Carbonera'' has several possible origins. Carbonera in Roman times meant marshy, peaty and woody land. At one time some parts of castle fortifications were said to be ''carboneras'', where charcoal was stored by blacksmiths and for the weapons that were used in raids or assaults. (Azienda del Consorzio Trasporti Veneziano) is a public company responsible for public transportation in Venice and Chioggia municipalities and for interurban bus services in province of Venice. ACTV is not responsible for Venice People Mover (managed by AVM) and waterbus routes between airport and the lagoon area (managed by Alilaguna).
