Mizoram College Teachers' Association
The Mizoram College Teachers' Association (MCTA) is a governmental, non-political and non-profit organisation for college teachers under the Government of Mizoram, India. It was established by a conference of college teachers on 7 September 1979 at Aizawl, which became its headquarters. The organisation is recognised by the Government of Mizoram, and consists of 21 government colleges and 1 grant-in-aid college. Membership is exclusively to those teachers working in the college or other higher education institute under the Government of Mizoram, and who were recruited under the norms of the University Grants Commission (India). Government Aizawl College
Aizawl College is a college in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is accredited with B+ Grade by NAAC and has 445 students currently studying in the college. History Established as ‘Aizawl College’ in 1975 by a team of philanthropic citizens meeting at the Office chamber of the then Legislative Assembly Speaker, Dr. H.Thansanga, on the 13 January 1975, Aizawl College (later renamed Government Aizawl College following its take-over by the State Government) was formally inaugurated by Pu Ch. Chhunga, the first Chief Minister of Mizoram. Classes started on the evening of 25 August 1975 with 350 students of Pre-University course, Pre University Class and six Lecturers. Government Lawngtlai College
Government Lawngtlai College is the only institute of higher education in Lawngtlai district of Mizoram, northeast India. It was established by public demand in 1980 in Lawngtlai. It became a government college under the Government of Mizoram in 1988. The college is a branch member of the Mizoram College Teachers' Association, and the Red Ribbon Club of the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society. Kolasib
Kolasib is a town located in the northern part of Mizoram, India. It serves as the headquarters of the Kolasib District. Lunglei (, locally ), formerly rendered Lungleh, is the second-largest town in Mizoram, Northeast India, northeastern India, situated in the south-central part of the state. The town served as the capital of British rule in the Lushai Hills, British South Lushai Hills from 1889 to 1898.
