Miss Puerto Rico
Miss Puerto Rico is a national title bestowed on the women representing Puerto Rico in international beauty pageants. Miss Universe 2001
Miss Universe 2001 was the 50th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant, held at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez in Bayamón, Puerto Rico on May 11, 2001. At the conclusion of the event, Lara Dutta of India crowned Denise Quiñones of Puerto Rico as Miss Universe 2001. This was Puerto Rico's fourth win in the history of the pageant. Contestants from seventy-seven countries competed in this pageant. The competition was hosted by Elle Macpherson and Naomi Campbell, Todd Newton acted as backstage correspondent, while Miss Universe 1997 provided commentary for the whole event. A beauty pageant is a competition in which the contestants are judged and ranked based on various physical and mental attributes. Per its name, beauty pageants traditionally focus on judging the contestants' physical attractiveness, sometimes solely so, but most modern beauty pageants have since expanded to also judge contestants based on "inner beauty"—their individual traits and characteristics, including personality, intelligence, aptitude, moral character, and charity. Miss Grand International 2013 was the 1st edition Miss Grand International pageant, held at the Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, Thailand, on 19 November 2013. Miss Supranational 2018 was the tenth Miss Supranational pageant, held at the MOSIR Arena in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland, on December 7, 2018. Miss Earth 2019
Miss Earth 2019 was the 19th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, on October 26, 2019. Nguyễn Phương Khánh of Vietnam crowned Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico as her successor at the end of the event. This marks the first time Puerto Rico has won Miss Earth, becoming the first territory to win at least once in all of the Big Four beauty pageants. Miss International 2014 was the 54th Miss International pageant, held at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan, on November 11, 2014. It was organized by the International Cultural Association. Bea Santiago of the Philippines crowned Valerie Hernández of Puerto Rico as her successor at the end of the event.
