Mind's Eye Theatre
''Mind's Eye Theatre'' is a live action role-playing game (LARP) based on the White Wolf World of Darkness universe and shares the setting with the tabletop role-playing game '' Vampire: The Masquerade'', among others. In most editions of the game, conflicts and skill challenges involving random chance were settled with a "rock, paper, scissors" system often referred to as "throwing chops" or "hand jamming". In the 2005 release of ''Mind's Eye Theatre'' and ''Mind's Eye Theatre: The Requiem'', this was removed in favor of a random card-draw mechanic to generate a random number between 1 and 10, usually using the Ace and 2 through 10 cards from a standard playing card deck. This mechanic was removed for the 2013 release of ''Mind's Eye Theatre: Vampire the Masquerade'' which returned to the rock, paper, scissors conflict resolution system from earlier editions. The game possesses rules both for gameplay and player safety. An advantage of the live-action gameplay is the ability t ... The Apocalypse
Apocalypse () is a literary genre originating in Judaism in the centuries following the Babylonian exile (597–587 BCE) but persisting in Christianity and Islam. In apocalypse, a supernatural being reveals cosmic mysteries or the future to a human intermediary. The means of mediation include dreams, visions and heavenly journeys, and they typically feature symbolic imagery drawn from the Jewish Bible, cosmological and (pessimistic) historical surveys, the division of time into periods, esoteric numerology, and claims of ecstasy and inspiration. Almost all are written under pseudonyms (false names), claiming as author a venerated hero from previous centuries, as with the Book of Daniel, composed during the 2nd century BCE but bearing the name of the legendary Daniel from the 6th century BCE. Eschatology (from Greek ''eschatos'', last) concerns expectations of the end of the present age. Thus, apocalyptic eschatology is the application of the apocalyptic world-view to the end o ... The Oblivion
''The'' is a grammatical article in English, denoting nouns that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic pronoun ''thee'' ... Plot summary ''The Elder's Revenge'' is an adventure written by Jennifer Donaldson and John Flournoy for the ''Mind's Eye Theatre'' live-action role-playing game, itself a spinoff of the table-top horror role-playing game '' Vampire: The Masquerade''.
