Camp Albert L. Mills (Camp Mills) was a military installation on Long Island, New York (state), New York. It was located about ten miles from the eastern boundary of New York City on the Hempstead Plains within what is now the village of Garden City, New York, Garden City. In September 1917, Camp Mills was named in honor of a former Superintendent of the United States Military Academy, Superintendent of the United States Military Academy, United States Military Academy at West Point, Major general (United States), Major General Albert L. Mills, who had suddenly died the year prior in September 1916. Mills had been awarded the Medal of Honor for gallantry during the Spanish–American War. Mills Reservation
Mills Reservation is a county park, consisting of a protected wooded area located in Cedar Grove and Montclair, New Jersey, United States. The reservation is maintained by the Essex County Park Commission. The reservation has several walking and jogging trails, including the Lenape Trail, four major trails, and two smaller trails. One of the four main trails leads to a cliff that overlooks the New York City skyline. Mills Reservation is located on the First Watchung Mountain, one of three Watchung Mountains which are long, low ridges of volcanic origin in northern New Jersey. Geography Mills Reservation is located atop First Watchung Mountain in Montclair, New Jersey and Cedar Grove, New Jersey. It is a 157.15-acre tract of forest, grassland, and cliffs. Mills Peak is an mountain in Fiordland, New Zealand. Description Mills Peak is part of the Darran Mountains where it is situated above Milford Sound in the Southland Region of the South Island. It is set within Fiordland National Park which is part of the Te Wahipounamu UNESCO World Heritage Site. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's east slope drains into the Bowen River, whereas the west slope drains into the Harrison River and Harrison Cove. Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises above the Bowen Valley in one kilometre, and above tidewater at Harrison Cove in 1.5 kilometre. The Mesa Range () is a range of flat-topped mesas comprising the Sheehan, Pain, Tobin and Gair Mesas, situated at the head of the Rennick Glacier in Victoria Land, Antarctica. The Deep Freeze Range () is a rugged mountain range, over long and about wide, rising between Priestley Glacier, Priestley and Campbell Glacier, Campbell Glaciers in Victoria Land, Antarctica, and extending from the edge of the polar plateau to Terra Nova Bay. It is southwest of the Southern Cross Mountains, south of the Mesa Range and northeast of the Eisenhower Range of the Prince Albert Mountains. The Dominion Range () is a broad mountain range, about long, forming a prominent salient at the juncture of the Beardmore and Mill glaciers in Antarctica. The range is part of the Queen Maud Mountains The range was discovered by the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907–09 and named by Ernest Shackleton for the Dominion of New Zealand, which generously aided the expedition.
