Mick O'Kane
Mick O'Kane was an Irish soccer player during the 1920s and 1930s. O'Kane was a tough full back who played for Bohemian FC, Bohemians amongst others during his career in the League of Ireland. He played in the 1929 FAI Cup final defeat to Shamrock Rovers while at Bohs. Mick captained Bohemians in the 1931 seasonBohemian FC match programme, 29 January 1989 and his brother Paddy O'Kane, Paddy followed as captain in 1936 to become the 2nd set of brothers to captain the club. Bohemian Football Club ( Irish: An Cumann Peile Bóihéamach), more commonly referred to as Bohemians or Bohs, is an Irish professional association football club based in Dublin. Bohemians compete in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland. The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Sports Direct FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City F.C., Derry City from Northern Ireland). Paddy O'Kane
Patrick Joseph O'Kane (15 November 1906 – 2 February 1968) was an Irish soccer player during the 1920s and 1930s. O'Kane was a tough defender who played for Bohemians during his career in the League of Ireland. He was part of the Bohs team that won the FAI Cup in 1935, beating Dundalk 4–3 at Dalymount Park. O'Kane captained Bohemians in the 1936 season following his brother Mick who was captain in 1931 to become the 2nd set of brothers to captain the club. The first were the Hooper brothers, Willie and Richard. International career O'Kane won three full international caps for the Irish Free State while playing for Bohemian FC, making his debut against Hungary at Dalymount Park in December 1934. Death Paddy O'Kane died in Blanchardstown on 2 February 1968, at the age of 61. Willie Hooper
William Hooper (died 1946) was an Irish doctor, and soccer player. He married Eileen Moyà (Aileen) O'Brien from Mitchelstown, County Cork in 1912, and they went on to have seven children. He played for the amateur Bohemians during his career in Ireland. Hooper was a top player in his era and won international caps for the Irish Amateur team. He played in Bohs FAI Cup winning side of 1908, their first ever national trophy. Willie netted the final goal in the 3–1 win over Shelbourne in the replay. Hooper also scored in the final of that competition the following year but could only earn as runners-up medal as Cliftonville beat Bohs 2–1 in a replay at Dalymount Park.
