Michigan's 3rd congressional district is a List of United States congressional districts, U.S. congressional district in West Michigan. From 2003 to 2013, it consisted of the counties of Barry County, Michigan, Barry and Ionia County, Michigan, Ionia, as well as all except the northwestern portion of Kent County, Michigan, Kent, including the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Grand Rapids. In 2012 redistricting, the district was extended to Battle Creek, Michigan, Battle Creek. Fruitport is a village in Muskegon County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,103 at the 2020 census. The community is located within Fruitport Charter Township. Water and sewer utilities are provided by Fruitport Charter Township. History Fruitport was founded by Edward L. Craw in 1868, who platted and named it "Crawville". It was renamed "Fruitport" a year later when the Pere Marquette Railroad built a station there, as the town was in the middle of a fertile fruit-growing area and also a port. Walker is a city in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A suburb of Grand Rapids, Walker borders the city to the north and west. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 25,132.
