Michal Pančík (born 17 December 1971) is a Slovakia national football team, Slovak international Association football, football midfielder who played for clubs in the former Czechoslovakia. Career Born in Brezno, Pančík began playing football for FK Inter Bratislava, Inter Bratislava in the Czechoslovak First League. Later, he would make 76 appearances in the Gambrinus liga, Czech first division for FC Baník Ostrava, Baník Ostrava. Pančík played for Slovakia at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. External links

Brezno
Brezno (; 1927–1948: ; or ; ) is a town in central Slovakia with a population of around 21,000. Etymology The name is derived from the Slovak word "breza" for birch. Geography Brezno is located within the Geomorphological division of Slovakia, Horehronské podolie basin. Brezno lies between the Low Tatras mountain range and the Slovak Ore Mountains, both of which belong to the Inner Western Carpathians.
