Mick O'Halloran
Michael Raphael O'Halloran (12 April 1893 – 22 September 1960) was an Australian politician, representing the South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party. He served as Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament of South Australia and also in the Australian Senate. Early life Born in Yanyarrie in outback South Australia, the Irish Catholic O'Halloran was educated at public schools before leaving to work on his parents' farm aged 13. Politics O'Halloran joined the ALP at 15 and was first elected to the South Australian House of Assembly Electoral district of Burra Burra at the 1918 election. He lost the seat at the 1921 election, but regained it at the 1924 election. He also made an astute move in 1924 by marrying Mary Frances Rowe on 14 August 1924. They had no children, but Mary would act as O'Halloran's electorate officer and advisor for the remainder of his political life. Michael O'Halloran (British Politician)
Michael Joseph O'Halloran (20 August 1933 – 29 November 1999) was an Irish-born British politician. He was brought up in County Clare, Ireland, and being out of work, he "drifted to London" in 1948, aged fifteen, and worked as a railwayman until he entered politics. He stood as a Labour candidate, and was elected as the Member of Parliament for Islington North at a by-election in 1969 following the death of sitting MP Gerry Reynolds. He had previously been the secretary of the Islington North Constituency Labour Party. His selection over Keith Kyle was the subject of an investigation in the early-1970s by ''The Sunday Times'' newspaper. They highlighted his background with a local building company and the local Irish community and questioned the propriety of the tactics of his supporters during his selection as candidate. Michael O'Halloran (Lord Mayor Of Dublin)
Michael O'Halloran (7 October 1936 – 3 May 2023) was an Irish Labour Party politician and trade unionist. He was a member of Dublin City Council from 1979 to 1991. He was elected at the 1979 local elections for the Artane electoral area, and was re-elected at the 1985 local elections. He served as Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1984 to 1985. He did not contest the 1991 local elections. While Lord Mayor, he led a campaign to ''Save the Pint''. He stood unsuccessfully as a Labour Party candidate at the 1977 general election for Dublin Artane. Michael O'Halloran (Clare Hurler)
Michael O'Halloran (born 1971) is an Irish former hurler who played for Clare SHC club Sixmilebridge and at inter-county level with the Clare senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a corner-back. Career O'Halloran first came to hurling prominence as a schoolboy with St. Patrick's Comprehensive School in Shannon. He was a substitute on the school team that was beaten by St. Flannan's College in the final of the Harty Cup in 1989. O'Halloran simultaneously progressed through the various grades at club level with Sixmilebridge before eventually joining the senior team. He was at right corner-back when the club won the All-Ireland Club Championship in 1996. O'Halloran first appeared on the inter-county scene when he earned a call-up to the Clare under-21 hurling team in 1992, however, he left the panel before the start of the championship. Michael O'Halloran (born 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for club side Blackrock and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. Playing career University College Cork On 23 February 2019, O'Halloran lined out as a substitute for University College Cork when they faced Mary Immaculate College in the Fitzgibbon Cup final. He remained on the bench for the entire game but collected a winners' medal following the 2–21 to 0–13 victory. Michael Francis O'Halloran (born 6 January 1991) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Dunfermline Athletic Born in Glasgow, he began his professional career with English club Bolton Wanderers, but made only made two appearances in three seasons. While at Bolton he had loan spells with Sheffield United, Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers. After two years with St Johnstone, he moved to Rangers in January 2016.
