Mexican National Atómicos Championship
The Mexican National ''Atómicos'' Championship ( Spanish: ''Campeonato Nacional Atómicos'') was a tag team championship for four-man teams, or ''Atómicos'' as they are referred to in Lucha libre. The title is a national championship, controlled by the Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission, which regulates all matches where the title is defended. The championship was created in 1996 and was primarily defended in the Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) promotion. In early 2009, the reigning champions, Chessman and '' Los Psycho Circus'' ( Killer Clown, Psycho Clown, and Zombie Clown) were stripped of the title and it was subsequently declared inactive. Chessman (wrestler)
Kevin Citlali Zamora (born June 2, 1975) is a Mexican Luchador or professional wrestler, better known under his ring name Chessman. He is signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). Throughout his career, Chessman has been a part of several factions, such as The Black Family, Lucha Libre Latina (LLL), La Secta Cibernetica, La Secta del Mesías and Los Hell Brothers. Chessman has been associated with Cibernético and Charly Manson in one way or the other throughout most of his career, either teaming with them or wrestling against them. Escoria
José Ibarra is a Mexican Luchador (wrestler) who is best known as Escoria / Dark Escoria (Spanish for "Dreg"), a face character that works for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). Ibarra has been part of The Black Family since it was formed, but left the stable in October 2010. During his time in the Black Family, Escoria was also a member of Lucha Libre Latina (LLL) and La Secta del Mesias, its predecessor La Secta Cibernetica and La Legión Extranjera. Professional wrestling career Ibarra made his wrestling debut in 1998 after training with Blackman, Negro Sosa and Draco for over six months. It was not until 2000 where Ibarra adopted his Escoria (sometimes referred to as "Scoria") that he was successful in the ring. La Parka II
Jesús Alfonso Huerta Escoboza (January 4, 1966 January 11, 2020), better known as La Parka, was a Mexican '' luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler, who worked for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion AAA from the mid-1990s until 2019. On January 11, 2020, Huerta died from complications arising from injuries that he sustained from a botched move during an October 2019 match. Escoboza was not the first wrestler to use the ring name "La Parka", Adolfo Tapia was the original La Parka but did not own either the name or the character. In the late 1990s, Escoboza was billed as La Parka Jr. and then in 2003 he became the "official" La Parka while Tapia was forced to stop using the name and instead became known as L.A. Park. Halloween (wrestler)
Manuel Ortiz Partida (born May 22, 1971) is a Mexican retired professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Halloween. He is also known for his appearances with World Championship Wrestling as Ciclope from 1996 to 1999. Professional wrestling career Partida debuted in 1987. In the early-1990s, he adopted the ring name "Halloween" which he would use for most of his career. In 1996, Ortiz joined World Championship Wrestling where he took the name "Ciclope". His biggest moment in wrestling was part of the feud between Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko. Malenko, who had been inactive for a few months prior, dressed up as Ciclope to win a Cruiserweight battle royale to determine the number one contendership to Chris Jericho's WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Leonardo Carrera Gómez (born July 9, 1961) is a Mexican professional wrestler best known under the name Damián 666. He has worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), World Wrestling Association (WWA) and various promotions on the Mexican independent circuit, including '' Perros del Mal Producciones'' (PdM). Kayfabe
In professional wrestling, kayfabe (pronounced ) is the portrayal of staged events within the industry as "real" or "true", specifically competition, rivalries, and relationships between participants. The term has evolved to become a code word of sorts for maintaining this "reality" within the direct or indirect presence of the general public. In the United States, kayfabe is often seen as the suspension of disbelief that is used to create the non-wrestling aspects of promotions, such as feuds, angles, and gimmicks in a manner similar to other forms of fictional entertainment. In relative terms, a wrestler breaking kayfabe would be likened to an actor breaking character on-camera. Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Tag teams may be made up of wrestlers who normally wrestle in singles competition, but more commonly are made of established teams who wrestle regularly as a unit and have a team name and identity. In most team matches, only one competitor per team is allowed in the ring at a time. This status as the active or legal wrestler may be transferred by physical contact, most commonly a palm-to-palm tag which resembles a high five.
