Metroline
Metroline is a bus operator operating primarily in Greater London and partially in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro and operates bus services for London Buses under contract to Transport for London. Operations are run under two registered companies, Metroline Travel Limited and Metroline West Limited. As part of the privatisation of London bus services, Metroline was sold in October 1994 to a management buyout worth £20 million (). First London was a bus company operating services in east, west and south-east Greater London, London, England. It was a subsidiary of FirstGroup and operated buses under contract to Transport for London. It was formed in the late 1990s through the acquisition of three London bus operators. London Buses Route 52
London Buses route 52 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Willesden bus garage and Victoria bus station, it is operated by Metroline. History Route 52 began on 28 March 1923, running from Raynes Park to Ladbroke Grove. The service was changed many times, on 13 Feb 1924 it ran from Wormwood Scrubs to Tooting and later on, on 9 April 1924 the route was revised to run Ladbroke Grove to Victoria. It was extended to Mill Hill in 1932. Later, some services were extended on to Borehamwood on Monday to Saturday peak journeys where it was changed several times: in 1951, it was withdrawn from Warwick Road and Drayton Road to Elstree Way Hotel, but extended back on 3 February 1953, and further extended to Brook Road on 3 February 1954. London Buses route 9 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Hammersmith bus station and Aldwych, it is operated by Metroline. History Route 9 has been called "London's oldest existing bus route". Its origin goes as far back as 1851, although the routes London Buses route 11, 11 and London Buses route 12, 12 also date from this time. The Sunday 9 extension was finally removed when London Buses route 23, route 23 gained a Sunday service in the late 1960s, although a token service was maintained as far as Aldgate until 14:00 on Sundays to serve the local markets, the afternoon service being curtailed at Aldwych. The Bee Network is an integrated transport network for Greater Manchester, comprising bus, tram, cycling and walking routes. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is expected to have commuter rail services joining the network in 2028. Initially unveiled in 2018, the project is aiming to create a Transport in London, London-style transport system, to encourage more people to take public transport instead of cars. Armchair Passenger Transport was a bus and coach charter operator in London. History Armchair Passenger Transport was established as a coach operator in November 1960, being sold to EH Mundy in 1974. In June 1990 it became a London Regional Transport contractor when it commenced operating London Buses route 260, route 260 with 12 Walter Alexander Coachbuilders, Alexander bodied Leyland Olympians and three Leyland Atlanteans.
