Merrimack Warriors Men's Basketball
The Merrimack Warriors men's basketball team represents Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Northeast Conference. They are currently led by 4th year head coach Joe Gallo and play their home games in Hammel Court at the Merrimack Athletics Complex. In their first year at the Division 1 level, the 2019–20 team went 14–4 in NEC play and won the regular season title, despite in the preseason being picked by the media to finish 11th out of 11 teams. Due to the NCAA's policy on reclassifying programs, the Warriors will not be eligible to compete in the NCAA tournament or the NIT until the 2023–24 season. Northeast Conference
The Northeast Conference (NEC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose schools are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Teams in the NEC compete in Division I for all sports; football competes in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). 2022 The Basketball Classic
The 2022 The Basketball Classic (TBC) was a single-elimination men's college basketball postseason tournament featuring National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams not selected to participate in the NCAA Tournament or the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The tournament began on March 15 with the semifinals played on March 29 and the championship game played on April 1. The tournament was won by the Fresno State Bulldogs. The Basketball Classic was founded by Eracism. This was the tournament's inaugural edition, officially known as the 2022 The Basketball Classic presented by Eracism. All games were streamed on ESPN+. Bloomfield College
Bloomfield College is a private college in Bloomfield, New Jersey. It is chartered by the State of New Jersey and accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) through the Synod of the Northeast. History Bloomfield College was founded by the Presbyterian Church in 1868 as German Theological Seminary of Newark, New Jersey, to train German-speaking ministers. The Bridgeport Purple Knights are the athletic teams that represent the University of Bridgeport, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Le Moyne Dolphins are the athletic teams that represent Le Moyne College, located in Syracuse, New York, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sporting competitions. UMass Lowell River Hawks Men's Basketball
The UMass Lowell River Hawks men's basketball team represents the University of Massachusetts Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Beginning in the 2013–14 season, the River Hawks made the jump to NCAA Division I and joined the America East Conference. As part of their transition from NCAA Division II, Division II to Division I, they were not eligible for postseason play until the 2017–2018 season. The Bentley Falcons are composed of 21 teams representing Bentley University in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track and field. The 2008 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament was the 52nd annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. 2022–23 Merrimack Warriors Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Merrimack Warriors men's basketball team represented Merrimack College in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Warriors, led by seventh-year head coach Joe Gallo, played their home games at Hammel Court in North Andover, Massachusetts as members of the Northeast Conference. The season marked Merrimack's final year of a four-year transition period from Division II to Division I. As a result, the Warriors were not eligible to play in the NCAA tournament.
