Melancholy (Shadow Of Intent Album)
''Melancholy'' is the third studio album by American deathcore band Shadow of Intent. The album was released on August 16, 2019. It is their first album with Andrew Monias on bass, and their only album with Anthony Barone on drums before he was replaced by Bryce Butler of Contrarian. ''Melancholy'' marked a departure from writing strictly ''Halo''-themed music, instead being what has been described as a concept album depicting mass suicides orchestrated by a demonic goddess. An instrumental version of ''Melancholy'' was also released on November 22, 2019. Francesco Ferrini of Fleshgod Apocalypse contributed to the orchestral work on this album. Christian Donaldson of Cryptopsy handled engineering duties. The cover artwork was made by Pär Olofsson, known for his work with Exodus, Immortal, and The Faceless. Shadow of Intent is an American deathcore band from Connecticut. They formed in 2013 as a ''Halo (franchise), Halo''-themed Studio band, studio project by Ben Duerr and Chris Wiseman. They are not signed to a label and have released all their albums independently. They have released four studio albums to date, along with two instrumental versions of previous releases, and a deluxe album. Their fourth studio album, ''Elegy (Shadow of Intent album), Elegy'', was released independently on January 14, 2022. The Black Dahlia Murder is an American melodic death metal band from Waterford Township, Michigan, Waterford, Michigan, formed in 2001. Their name is derived from the 1947 unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short, often referred to as Black Dahlia. , the band consists of lead vocalist Brian Eschbach, bassist Max Lavelle, drummer Alan Cassidy, and guitarist Ryan Knight. Brand of Sacrifice is a Canadian deathcore band from Toronto formed in 2018 after the dissolution of The Afterimage, of which Kyle, Michael, Liam, Dallas, and Rob were previously in. The band was inspired by the work of manga artist Kentaro Miura, specifically his ''Berserk'' series, and has based much of their music on his works. History Founded in 2018 from the ashes of The Afterimage, they released their debut EP the same year, titled "The Interstice". The following year, they released their first album, ''God Hand''. In 2021, they independently released their sophomore studio album ''Lifeblood'', which was met with positive reception. Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Their current lineup consists of guitarists Gary Holt (musician), Gary Holt and Lee Altus, bassist Jack Gibson, drummer Tom Hunting, and lead vocalist Rob Dukes.
