Mehmed Baždarević
Mehmed Baždarević (born 28 September 1960) is a Bosnian professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player. He was most recently the manager of Ligue 2 club En Avant Guingamp, Guingamp. Baždarević played for Bosnian side FK Željezničar Sarajevo, Željezničar and French outfit FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Sochaux, among others. Nicknamed Meša in the former Yugoslavia and Mécha in France, he is considered to be one of the best football players to come from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Internationally, Baždarević earned Cap (sport), caps with Yugoslavia national football team, Yugoslavia and took part in playing at UEFA Euro 1984. He also played for Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Bosnia and Herzegovina after the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992. He was the first captain of the Bosnia national team. Fudbalski klub Velež Mostar ( sh-Cyrl, Фудбалски клуб Beлеж Мостар; English language, English: Football club Velež Mostar) is a professional football (soccer), football club based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. 1980–81 Yugoslav Cup
The 1980–81 Yugoslav Cup (; ; , ); also known as " Marshal Tito Cup" (''Kup Maršala Tita''); was the 33rd season of the top association football knockout competition in Yugoslavia since its establishment in 1946. The defending 1979–80 cup winners Dinamo Zagreb failed to retain the trophy as they were knocked out in the second round (i.e. round of 16) by Radnički Niš. Herzegovina side Velež from Mostar and Bosnian side Željezničar from Sarajevo reached the tournament final, in what would become the only cup final contested by two clubs from SR Bosnia and Herzegovina in the history of the competition which ran from 1946 to 1992. Ivan Osim (6 May 1941 – 1 May 2022), best known as Ivica Osim, was a Bosnian professional Football player, footballer and Manager (association football), football manager. Widely regarded as one of the greatest Bosnian football managers of all time, he is also seen as one of the most influential football managers in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. The 1984 UEFA European Football Championship final tournament was held in France from 12 to 27 June 1984. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap.
