The is an art gallery in Meguro, Tokyo, Japan. The building was opened in November 1987. Designed by Nihon Sekkei (), it is of reinforced concrete construction, with one basement floor and three floors above ground, and has floor space of 4059 square metres.Unless otherwise noted, the material in this article comes from ''Zenkoku bijutsukan gaido'' (; Tokyo: Bijutsu Shuppansha, 2006; ), pp. 187–88. Meguro, Tokyo
is a Special wards of Tokyo, special ward in the Tokyo, Tokyo Metropolis in Japan. The English translation of its Japanese self-designation is Meguro City. The ward was founded on March 15, 1947. Tsuguharu Fujita
was a Japanese–French painter. After having studied Western-style painting in Japan, Foujita traveled to Paris, where he encountered the international modern art scene of the Montparnasse neighborhood and developed an eclectic style that borrowed from both Japanese and European artistic traditions. With his unusual fashion and distinctive figurative style, Foujita reached the height of his fame in 1920s Paris. His watercolor and oil works of nudes, still lifes, and self-portraits were a commercial success and he became a notable figure in the Parisian art scene. Kumi Sugai
was a Japanese painter and printmaker. Driven by an interest in avant-garde painting, Sugai moved to Paris in 1952 where he quickly attracted critical attention, participating in numerous exhibitions in Paris and abroad. First working in a style resembling informalism or lyrical abstraction, he became affiliated with the Nouvelle École de Paris.
