The Medal for the Campaign (Spanish: ''Medalla de la Campaña'') was a Spanish military decoration of 1936 to 1939. The medal was established in 1937 and awarded to those who fought on the Nationalist faction (Spanish Civil War), Nationalist side during the Spanish Civil War. It was awarded to military personnel of any rank who actively intervened in operations or served in the line of fire. The Nationalist faction (), also Rebel faction () and Francoist faction () was a major faction in the Spanish Civil War of 1936 to 1939. It was composed of a variety of Right-wing politics, right-leaning political groups that supported the Spanish Coup of July 1936 against the Second Spanish Republic and Republican faction (Spanish Civil War), Republican faction and sought to depose Manuel Azaña, including the Falange Española de las JONS, Falange, the Spanish Confederation of the Autonomous Right, CEDA, and two rival monarchist claimants: the Alfonsism, Alfonsist Renovación Española and the Carlist Traditionalist Communion. Günther Lützow
Günther Lützow (4 September 1912 – 24 April 1945) was a German Luftwaffe aviator and fighter ace credited with 110 enemy aircraft shot down in over 300 combat missions. Apart from five victories during the Spanish Civil War, most of his claimed victories were over the Eastern Front in World War II. He also claimed 20 victories over the Western Front, including two victories—one of which was a four-engined bomber—flying the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter. Born in Kiel, Lützow volunteered for military service in the ''Reichswehr'' of the Weimar Republic in 1931. In parallel, he was accepted for flight training with the '' Deutsche Verkehrsfliegerschule'', a covert military-training organization, and at the Lipetsk fighter-pilot school. Wolfram Von Richthofen
Wolfram Karl Ludwig Moritz Hermann Freiherr von Richthofen (10 October 1895 – 12 July 1945) was a German World War I flying ace who rose to the rank of ''Generalfeldmarschall'' (Field Marshal) in the Luftwaffe during World War II. In the First World War, Richthofen fought on the Western and Eastern Fronts as a cavalry officer until 1917. He joined the ''Luftstreitkräfte'' (German Imperial Air Service) after his cousins, brothers Lothar and Manfred ('The Red Baron'), both of whom became flying aces. On his first mission in '' Jagdgeschwader 1'' (Fighter Wing 1), Manfred was killed while chasing a fighter that attacked Wolfram. Ricardo Serrador Santés (Talavera de la Reina, 1877 – Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 23 January 1943) was a Spanish military officer, known for his participation in the Spanish Civil War on the Nationalist side. Biography Military career Son and grandson of soldiers, as a young man he entered the Toledo Infantry Academy. He participated in the Rif War commanding a unit of the Regulares, forming part of the so-called Africanists. With the rank of colonel he participates in Sanjurjada, the failed attempted coup d'état led by General José Sanjurjo, on 10 August 1932.
