Maya Learned
Maya Learned (born 1 January 1996) is an American rugby union player. She plays at Prop for the United States women's national rugby union team, United States internationally and recently joined Denver Onyx for the inaugural season of 2025 Women's Elite Rugby season, Women's Elite Rugby. She previously played for Gloucester-Hartpury in the Premiership Women's Rugby, Premier 15s. Rugby career Learned was a High School and Junior All-American, she later played for Harvard University. She is proficient on both sides of the scrum and has also played Lock (Rugby Union), Lock for the Glendale Merlins. She made her international debut for the United States women's national rugby union team, United States against Canada women's national rugby union team, Canada in November 2019. She signed with Gloucester-Hartpury in 2021. She later extended her contract to the 2022–23 Premier 15s, 2022–2023 Premier 15s season. Spain Women's National Rugby Union Team
The Spain women's national rugby union team played their first match on 2 May 1989, against France, losing 0-28. The team played the Women's Six Nations from 2000 to 2006, but they were replaced by Italy for 2007, in order to mirror the men's tournament. History Currently there are over 200 clubs in Spain and a league similar to that of male rugby. The first steps were taken in 1913, when women played in secret in schools, but rugby first began to be played seriously at training camps at the School of Architecture of Madrid in the early 70s by a group of architecture students.
