Matan Roditi
Matan Roditi (; born 6 October 1998) is an Israeli Olympic Marathon swimming, marathon swimmer. His 4th place at the 2020 Summer Olympics is the closest Israel has come to an Olympic medal in swimming. He has set Israeli national records in the 800 metres, 800 metre Freestyle swimming, freestyle and the 1500 metres, 1500 metre freestyle, and the 10 kilometre marathon. He represented Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics, Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics in swimming in the Swimming at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's marathon 10 kilometre, Men's marathon 10 kilometre, and came in 16th. Early life Roditi is from Herzliya, Israel. His father Shmuel (Shmulik) Roditi was a soccer player who competed as a defender for the Ramat Gan team Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan F.C., Hakoah Maccabi Amidar Ramat Gan which won two state cups and the championship title in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Hector Thomas Cheal Pardoe (born 29 March 2001) is a British Swimming (sport), swimmer. Specialising in distance and open water events, he is the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, 2024 bronze medalist in the World Aquatics Championships 10 km open water race, the first British male swimmer to win a World Championship open water swimming medal in Olympic distance, 10km, since Welsh Compatriot, David Davies back in 2008. Pardoe is also the current record holder for England's largest lake, Windermere, Lake Windermere, in which he beat the 26 year old record, by 8 minutes. Pardoe set the record at 3 hours 40 minutes and 28 seconds.
