Martin Hašek (footballer, Born 1969)
Martin Hašek (born 11 October 1969) is a Czech football coach and former player. He played in the top football leagues of Czechoslovakia, later the Czech Republic, as well as Austria and Russia. He represented the Czech Republic in international football, making 14 appearances for his country between 1996 and 2001. Career Hašek was born in Pardubice. During his extensive playing career, he played as a midfielder for Pardubice, Union Cheb and Slovan Liberec before joining Sparta Prague in 1997. He later played for Austria Wien, Sturm Graz, Dynamo Moscow, FK Příbram and Přední Kopanina – before retiring at the age of 38. Hašek made 14 appearances for the Czech Republic. Hašek began his managerial career immediately after retiring, first as an assistant to Sparta. Pardubice
Pardubice (; ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 92,000 inhabitants. It is the capital city of the Pardubice Region and lies on the Elbe River. Bohemians 1905
Bohemians Praha 1905, commonly known as Bohemka or Bohemians Prague, is a professional association football, football club based in Vršovice, Prague, Czech Republic. The club competes in the Czech First League, Fortuna Liga, the top division in the Czech Republic football league system. Founded in 1905 as AFK Vršovice, the club won the 1982–83 Czechoslovak First League, its only league championship. Its colours are green and white. Dominik Hašek
Dominik Hašek (, ; born 29 January 1965) is a Czech former ice hockey goaltender who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), mostly for the Buffalo Sabres. Widely regarded as one of the best goaltenders in history, Hašek also played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, and Ottawa Senators in his NHL career before finishing his career in Europe. While in Buffalo, he became one of the league's finest goaltenders, earning him the nickname "The Dominator". His strong play has been credited with establishing European goaltenders in a league previously dominated by North Americans. Richard Dostálek (born 26 April 1974) is a Czech professional football coach and a former player who played as a midfielder. He is the manager of Zbrojovka Brno. Miroslav Koubek
Miroslav Koubek (born 1 September 1951) is a Czech manager and former goalkeeper, currently managing Viktoria Plzeň. He won the Czech First League with Plzeň in the 2014–15 season. Coaching career Koubek coached several Czech clubs. He led SK Kladno to the Czech Second League title in the 2005–06 season, securing the club's return to top-flight football for the first time since 1970. In the 2008–09 season, he led FC Zenit Čáslav to second place in the Czech Second League and promotion to the First League, although Čáslav eventually sold the First League license to rivals and remained in the Second League. Koubek joined FC Baník Ostrava in June 2009, leading them to third place in the 2009–10 Czech First League. The 2010–11 season however started with miserable results for Baník, with the club losing seven of the opening 13 matches, and Koubek was sacked in October. Jozef Chovanec
Jozef Chovanec (born 7 March 1960) is a former professional footballer and manager. He took part in two major tournaments: the 1990 FIFA World Cup as a player for Czechoslovakia and UEFA Euro 2000 as manager of the Czech Republic. Career As a footballer, Chovanec spent most of his career at Sparta Prague. He moved to the Netherlands to play briefly for PSV Eindhoven in 1988. At international level, Chovanec represented Czechoslovakia 52 times, scoring four goals, and played at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Chovanec coached Sparta Prague, with his first match being on 6 September 1996, Sparta were bottom of the league after seven games but Chovanec oversaw a turnaround, leading Sparta to win the league title the same season. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. ''Deník'' is a regional daily newspaper in the Czech Republic. History Originally owned by German publishing company Verlagsgruppe Passau (VGP), ''Deník'' has been owned by Penta Investments since 2015. VGP has a monopoly on the Czech regional press.
