Marifé De Triana
María Felisa Martínez López (September 13, 1936 – February 16, 2013), known professionally as Marifé de Triana, was a Spanish singer, dancer and actress. Early life Marifé de Triana was born in Burguillos in Seville. She lived in the neighborhood of Triana, leading to her nickname. Career At age 20, she finished works of ''copla'' and was featured in films between 1957 and 1958, 1959 with ''Canto para ti''. She was a pioneer film star in folklore films doing work that later was copied by other singers. In the 1960s she performed many festivals in much success in the theaters of Madrid, Lara, Princess Beatrice, Princess Elizabeth, Cervantes, Seville, Barcelona and all of Spain. During the first half of the twentieth century, she mainly worked in theater, on lyrical spectacles alongside Spanish singers such as El principe Gitano, Juana Reina, Pepe Mairena and La niña de los Peines. Burguillos
Burguillos is a municipality in the province of Seville, in the region of Andalusia, southern Spain. In 2023, it had 7,098 inhabitants. The town of Burguillos lies at an elevation of 80 meters on the plain of the Guadalquivir river, north of the provincial capital, Seville. The foothills of the Sierra Morena rise to the north of the town. The A-460 and A-8013 roads pass through the municipality and meet at a roundabout in the town. Two industrial estates named the Estanquillo and the Cuarto de la Huerta have been constructed off the A-460. Castanets, also known as ''clackers'' or ''palillos'', are a percussion instrument (idiophonic), used in Spanish, Calé, Moorish, Ottoman, Greek, Italian, Mexican, Sephardic, Portuguese, Filipino, Brazilian, and Swiss music. In ancient Greece and ancient Rome there was a similar instrument called the ''crotalum''. The instrument consists of a pair of concave shells joined on one edge by a string. They are held in the hand and used to produce clicks for rhythmic accents or a ripping or rattling sound consisting of a rapid series of clicks. They are traditionally made of hardwood (chestnut; Spanish: ''castaño''), although fibreglass has become increasingly popular. In practice, a player usually uses two pairs of castanets. Canal Sur
Canal Sur ('South Channel') is part of Radio y Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA), the public broadcasting company of Andalusia. It was created by means of the devolved powers given to this autononomous community by an Act of Parliament in its statute of autonomy. Canal Sur consists of two signs, Canal Sur 1 and Canal Sur 2, broadcasting the same programming but in sign language and with subtitles. Tony Leblanc
Ignacio Fernández Sánchez (7 May 1922 – 24 November 2012) better known as Tony Leblanc was a Spanish actor, director, and comedian. Biography Tony Leblanc was born on the grounds of the Museo del Prado at Madrid, where his family lived because of his father's employment as the museum's janitor. In his teens he was fond of boxing, becoming champion of the lightweight Castilla "amateur", while participating in amateur theatre. He was also a soccer player in the Third Division of Real Club Deportivo Carabanchel in which he scored 23 goals, making him the top scorer of the Third Division. Leblanc made his professional acting debut in 1944 with Celia Gámez's company. Ángel De Andrés
Ángel de Andrés Miquel was a Spanish theatre actor and director. Background In 1938, after the Spanish Civil War broke out, the young Andrés worked as an amateur street actor and then as a "galán cómico" in the Salvador Videgain theatre company. In 1940, he played roles in the Isbert, Infanta Isabel and María Guerrero theatre companies, among others. Andrés began his own theatre company with Antonio Casal, which became very successful. It was there that Andrés met actress Chity Juárez. Andrés and Juárez married in 1959 and remained together for the rest of Andrés' life. They had two children. From 1939 until the 1990s, Andrés had regular jobs in theatre, cinema and television. He used his full name as his stage name, however, the people who knew him always called him Angelito de Andrés (Angelito is the familiar form for Ángel).
