Marcus Allen
Marcus LeMarr Allen (born March 26, 1960) is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons, primarily with the Los Angeles Raiders. Considered one of the greatest goal line and short-yard runners in NFL history, he was selected 10th overall by the Raiders in the 1982 NFL Draft, following a successful college football career at USC. He was a member of the Raiders for 11 seasons and spent his last five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. During his professional career, Allen ran for 12,243 yards and caught 587 passes for 5,412 yards. He also scored 145 touchdowns, including a then-league-record 123 rushing touchdowns, and was elected to six Pro Bowls. While with the Raiders, he helped the team win Super Bowl XVIII. He was the first NFL player to gain more than 10,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards during his career. Marcus Deshawn Allen (born August 7, 1996) is an American football inside linebacker who is a free agent. He played college football at Penn State. Early life Allen attended Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he was a three year letterman. He recorded just over 150 tackles and four interceptions over his four years in high school. He was rated a four-star recruit by Scout and 247Sports and a three-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals. He was ranked as a Top 30 prospect at safety nationally by Scout and 247Sports, and rated the No. 6 prep player in Maryland by 247Sports. He was named after All Pro and Superbowl Champion running back Marcus Allen. Marcus Allan (born 23 May 1986) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. He played for WAFL club Claremont in 2008. He is currently playing for the Old Xaverians in the VAFA. He is the sοn of Collingwood and Fitzroy player Graeme "Gubby" Allan, who is now the General Manager of Football Operations at Team GWS. Marcus attended St. Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace in Brisbane.
