Marco António Bernardo Paracana Almeida (born 4 April 1977) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a central defender. He started his career with Sporting, going on to amass Primeira Liga totals of 90 games and five goals over the course of six seasons, also representing in the competition Campomaiorense and Alverca. He also played professionally in England, Spain and Cyprus. Club career Almeida was born in Barreiro, Setúbal District, and played youth football with Sporting CP. He started his senior career with Casa Pia A.C. on loan, moving to Sporting Clube Lourinhanense in 1996 as the latter acted as farm team to the Primeira Liga giants. For the 1998–99 season, still in the top division, he was again loaned, now to S.C. Campomaiorense. Barreiro () is a city and a municipality in the Setúbal District in Portugal. The population in 2021 was 78,345, in an area of . It is a region belonging to the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Claus Lundekvam (born 22 February 1973) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Lundekvam began his career with Brann before moving to English side Southampton in 1996 where he played until his retirement in 2008. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game.
