Juan Manuel De La Peña Bonifaz
Juan Manuel de la Peña Bonifaz (c. 1625 - December 1673) was a Spanish politician who served as the ad interim 26th governor and captain-general of the Philippines from September 28, 1668 to September 24, 1669. Prior to his term being the governor-general, he served as the junior auditor of the Real Audiencia of Manila before he held the highest position by trickery. Manuel De La Peña Y Peña
José Manuel de la Peña y Peña (10 March 1789 – 2 January 1850) was a Mexican lawyer and judge who served two non-consecutive, but closely following, terms as the president of Mexico during the Mexican American War. In contrast to many other nineteenth-century Mexican presidents, he never served in the military, instead coming from a distinguished legal background. He was foreign minister and a member of the peace party whom under the presidency of José Joaquín de Herrera sought to avoid a war with the United States at a time of rising tensions. After hardliners overthrew Herrera and war broke out with disastrous consequences for Mexico, he was elected president twice to two non-consecutive terms in the final months of the war as peace negotiations were being made. Manuel Arturo Peña Batlle (26 February 1902 – 15 April 1954) was a Dominican Republic lawyer, historian, diplomat, and politician who served as a Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic between 1943 and 1946 and shaped its relation with Haiti in the 1940s. Peña Batlle was born in the city of San Carlos on 26 February 1902. At the age of 21, he graduated from the University of Santo Domingo with a degree in international law. He wrote a number of works on the history of the Dominican Republic statehood and is considered one of the most important Dominican Republic historians. Manuel "Manolo" Peña Escontrela (18 December 1965 – 13 November 2012) was a Spanish professional footballer who played as a forward. Over the course of ten seasons, he amassed La Liga totals of 189 games and 27 goals, with Valladolid and Zaragoza. Club career Born in Lugo, Galicia, Peña signed at the age of 17 with Real Valladolid, going on to play seven consecutive La Liga seasons with the club, but only appearing in 30 league games his first three combined. His best output for the Castile and León side came in the 1987–88 campaign when he scored eight goals in 29 matches (all starts) to help them finish in eighth position; this included a hat-trick against FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou in a 4–2 win, and another in the home game against the Catalans (1–1 draw).
