The Malian Women's Championship also called Women's Ligue 1 ( French: ''Championnat du Mali féminin'') is the top flight of women's association football in Mali. The competition is run by the Malian Football Federation. History Women's football was born in Mali on 1994 by the creation of the Bamako League. This league was held every year until 2014. It was dominated essentially by ''Super Lionnes d'Hamdallaye'' and ''AS Mandé'' who both won many titles. On 2016, the Malian Football Federation created the first national women's championship. AS Mandé (women)
Association Sportive de Mandé is a Malian professional women's football club based in the capital city, Bamako. It currently plays in the Malian Women's Championship, the women's top tier of Malian football. The club is affiliated to AS Mandé, a men's team who previously played in the Malian Première Division. The club has won the women's championship in 2021 season. Following that, they were selected as the representative for Mali at the WAFU A qualifiers which they won after beating Senegalese team AS Dakar Sacré-Cœur by 4–0 in the finals and qualified them to the inaugural 2021 CAF Women's Champions League. The Malian Football Federation () is the governing body of football in Mali. Founded in 1960, it joined the Confederation of African Football, CAF in 1963 and has been affiliated with FIFA since 1964. Its first general secretary was Garan Fabou Kouyate.
