Malecón De Miraflores
The Malecón de Miraflores is an esplanade in the coast of Lima, Peru. It's a major tourist attraction in the city. Overview The malecón crosses the district of Miraflores and is composed of three different sectors: the ''Malecón de la Marina'', the ''Malecón Cisneros,'' and the ''Malecón de la Reserva''. Another two ''malecones'', ''28 de Julio'' and ''Balta'', separate the ''Malecón Cisneros'' from the other two malecones, being connected by the Puente Villena Rey. The ''Malecón de la Reserva'', the latter of the three malecones, was designed by Augusto Benavides Diez Canseco and features ''casonas'' by Ricardo de Jaxa Malachowski. It is limited to the south by the ''Bajada de Armendáriz'', also known as the ''Quebrada de Armendáriz''. Costa Verde (Peru)
The Circuito de playas de la Costa Verde, also simply the Costa Verde, is a highway located along the coast of Callao and Lima, Peru. It unites the districts of La Punta, La Perla, San Miguel, Magdalena del Mar, San Isidro, Miraflores, Barranco and Chorrillos. History The land where the road is currently located was originally the location of large cliffs with no road access. Before the construction of the highway, some roads and balnearios had preceded the project under the second government of Augusto B. Leguía. The land was reclaimed to make way for the project using land dug up from the construction of the Paseo de la República, an idea by then mayor of Miraflores . The Costa Verde project began and ended in the 1970s, with its name coming from a part of the plan that included adding vegetation to the then bare cliffs. Chili's Grill & Bar (stylized as chili's) is an American casual dining restaurant chain founded by Larry Lavine in Texas in 1975 and is currently owned and operated by Brinker International. History Chili's first location, a converted postal station on Greenville Avenue in the Vickery Meadows area of Dallas, Texas, opened in 1975. Chorrillos District
Chorrillos (Spanish language, Spanish for "trickle of water"), founded as San Pedro de los Chorrillos, is a Districts of Peru, district of Lima Province in Lima, Peru. A middle-income residential district, it is located next to the Pacific Ocean and forms part of the city's area known as the Costa Verde (Peruvian region), Costa Verde, which is home to a number of beaches, as well as private clubs and the country's Chorrillos Military School, national military school. Barranco District
Barranco, founded in 1874 as San José de Surco, is one of 43 districts in Lima, Peru. Its current mayor is Jessica Vargas. The district is considered to be the city's most romantic and bohemian, being the home and working place of many of Peru's leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers. In the 19th century, it was a very fashionable beach resort for the Limeño aristocracy, and many people used to spend the summer here and in neighboring Chorrillos. Magdalena Del Mar
Magdalena del Mar, also known simply as Magdalena, is a seaside district of Lima Province in Peru and one of the districts that comprise the city of Lima. Its current mayor is Francis Allison Oyague. Magdalena was officially established as a district on May 10, 1920. Geography With a total land area of 3.61 km2, Magdalena borders the districts of San Miguel on the west, Pueblo Libre and Jesús María on the north, San Isidro on the east, and the Pacific Ocean on the south.
