Malang City Regional People's Representative Council
The Malang City Regional House of Representatives is the unicameral municipal legislature of the city of Malang, East Java, Indonesia. It has 45 members, who are elected every five years, simultaneously with the national legislative election. History Malang was granted its status as a municipality by the Dutch East Indies government in 1914, with the municipal council founded on 6 October 1914. In 1922, the municipal council moved to its current modern location at . During the Dutch period, the council consisted of 11 members, of which 8 were Dutch, 2 were native Indonesians, and the last seat was allocated for non-native groups such as Arabs or Chinese. Under an independent Indonesia, the city council was reestablished in 1950, as a provisional legislature. The first elected council served between 1951 and 1956. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle ( id, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, PDI-P) is an Indonesian political party, and the party of the current President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The PDI-P was founded and is currently led by Megawati Sukarnoputri, president of Indonesia from 2001 to 2004, and daughter of Sukarno, the first president of Indonesia. Megawati was forced out from the leadership of the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI) by the government of Indonesia under Suharto in 1996. Megawati formed the PDI-P in 1999, after Suharto resigned and restrictions on political parties were lifted. The party's ideology is based on the official Indonesian national philosophy, ''Pancasila'', and is considered as conservative-left. Malang (; ) is a landlocked city in the Indonesian province of East Java. It has a history dating back to the age of Singhasari Kingdom. People's Conscience Party
The People's Conscience Party ( id, Partai Hati Nurani Rakyat), better known by its abbreviation, Hanura, is a political party in Indonesia. It was established following a meeting in Jakarta on 13–14 December 2006 and first headed by former Indonesian National Armed Forces commander Wiranto. The party lost its seats in parliament after a poor performance in the 2019 general election. Background After being eliminated in the first round of the 2004 Indonesian presidential election, Wiranto was "traumatized" by his defeat and decided not to run for the presidency without his own political vehicle. The Concern for the Nation Functional Party ( id, Partai Karya Peduli Bangsa) is a political party in Indonesia. The party was established by former members of the Golkar Party who were dissatisfied with Golkar's abandonment of former president Suharto including former minister Hartono and Suharto's daughter Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana. Mochammad Anton
Mochammad Anton (born 31 December 1965) is an Indonesian politician and businessman who was the mayor of Malang, East Java between 2013 and 2018. In 2018, he was convicted of bribery and sentenced to 2 years in prison. Early life Anton (Chinese: 魏兴安 ''Goei Hing An'') was born in Malang on 31 December 1965 from Goei Heng An and Sumiati.
