Macedonia Women's National Handball Team
The North Macedonia women's national handball team is the women's national handball team of North Macedonia. It is governed by the Macedonian Handball Federation and takes part in international team handball competitions. History The first women's handball teams in Macedonia emerged in the second half of the 1940s. Soon, the Macedonian Handball federation started to organize national championships in big handball -11 players on a soccer field size. By the 1960s it was transformed into small handball or indoor handball. Macedonian champions were qualified for the federal Yugoslav Championship instead of European cup competitions. The best Macedonian players played for the Federal Team of Yugoslavia. In the time of the federation 6 of the constitutional republics were sending one federal team to compete at the Olympics and World cup. Coat Of Arms Of The President Of North Macedonia
The coat of arms of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia is the official coat of arms of the President of North Macedonia. It was adopted on 2 December 2009, designed by the Macedonian Heraldic Society, Macedonian Heraldry Society earlier that year, having been registered by the society on 10 June. The shield of the coat of arms has the sun from the flag of North Macedonia. Below the shield are two branches of Quercus trojana, Macedonian oak with eight leaves and acorns on each branch. The oak is used due to it being native to the region and representing strength. 2011 World Women's Handball Championship
The 2011 World Women's Handball Championship was the 20th edition of the international championship tournament in women's Team sport handball that is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF). Brazil hosted the event from 2–18 December 2011. On 18 December 2011, Norway successfully contested France 32–24 in the final. Norway was the second team to achieve a triple title cache all in the same tournament by winning the World Championship, European Championship and Olympic Games titles. Denmark had made this achievement previously. France lost, its second consecutive World Championship final (2009), to Russia. Norway automatically qualified for the 2012 Olympic Handball tournament and 2013 World Championship. When Norway vacated their European Championship and that tournament's second place team, Sweden, automatically qualifying for the Olympics. The Yugoslavia women's national handball team was the national handball team of Yugoslavia. History The 1st World Women's Handball Championship was held in Yugoslavia from July 13 to 20, 1957. The games were held in Belgrade and Virovitica.Although it is a world championship, only European teams are participating in this first edition.
