M Series (Apple Silicon)
Apple silicon is a series of system on a chip (SoC) and system in a package (SiP) processors designed by Apple Inc., mainly using the ARM architecture family, ARM architecture. They are used in nearly all of the company's devices including Mac (computer), Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, AirPods, AirTag, HomePod, and Apple Vision Pro. The first Apple-designed system-on-a-chip was the Apple A4, which was introduced in 2010 with the IPad (1st generation), first-generation iPad and later used in the iPhone 4, fourth generation iPod Touch and second generation Apple TV. Dodge M-series Chassis
The Dodge M-series chassis were a line of heavy-duty frames used under various Class A motorhomes from 1968 to 1979. M-series chassis use a Dana 60 or 70 or Spicer M70 solid rear axles with leaf springs. Frames were used by Winnebago, Champion, Apollo MotorHomes and several other RV manufacturers. The line was offered in four ratings, M-300, M-375 (also known as M-400 between 1969–1973), M-500, and M-600 depending on the application. The M600 was offered with the Rockwell F-130-NX rear axle, with a 4.88:1 gear ratio. By 1979, Chrysler Corporation no longer sold incomplete chassis and ended production of the M series. Leica M Series
The Leica M mount is a camera lens mount introduced in 1954 with the Leica M3, and a range of lenses. It has been used on all the Leica M-series cameras and certain accessories (e.g. Visoflex reflex viewing attachment) up to the current film Leica M-A and digital Leica M11 cameras. This lens mount has also been used by Epson, Ricoh, Minolta, Konica, Cosina Voigtländer, Rollei, Carl Zeiss AG and Rollei Fototechnic on some of their cameras. Overview The Leica M mount was introduced in 1954 at that year's Photokina show, with the Leica M3 as its first camera. The 'M' stands for ''Messsucher'' or rangefinder in German. M-series Bayonet
The Model of 1905 bayonet was made for the U.S. M1903 Springfield rifle. This designation was changed to Model 1905 in 1917, and then to M1905 in 1925, when the army adopted the ''M'' designation nomenclature. The M1905 bayonet has a steel blade and a handle with wooden or plastic grips. The bayonet also fits the U.S. M1 Garand rifle. From 1943 to 1945, a shorter, , bladed version was produced with either black or dark red molded plastic grips, and designated the M1 bayonet. A number of M1905 bayonets were recalled from service, their blades cut down, and reissued as M1 bayonets. But the cut down version was not used in Vietnam. Studebaker M-series Truck
The Studebaker M-series is a pickup truck series designed in the late 1930s by the Studebaker Corporation. Production The M-series Studebaker trucks came in several versions both pre and post WW II. The M-5 was a 1/2 ton truck, available in a pickup configuration as well as a cab and rolling chassis. The M15 was the 3/4 ton version. The M15A was the one & -ton version. The M5, M15, and M15A all came with the ''Champion'' 169 ci. engine only. The M16 1-1/2 & 2 ton versions came with the more powerful ''Commander'' 226 ci. engine. The Studebaker US6 version was produced during the war to government specifications; using a different nose and engine configuration, in both a 4x6 & 6x6 versions of a -ton truck. M Series (Toronto Subway)
The M series, also known as M-1, was the second series of rapid transit rolling stock used in the subway system of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were built by Montreal Locomotive Works in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from 1961 to 1962. They were the first Toronto subway cars to be manufactured in Canada, and only one of two series built outside Ontario. History By 1960, the Toronto Transit Commission was preparing to expand its subway system to include the University line. The TTC wanted subway cars with a larger design and also wished to expand upon some of the experimental features in the existing G-series cars. The new design was pushed forward by general manager John G. Inglis. A total of only 36 M-series cars were built. As the subway expanded and more trains were necessary, the TTC turned to Hawker Siddeley to build the next series of subway cars. Cummins M-series Engine
The Cummins M-series engine is a straight-six diesel engine designed and produced by Cummins. It displaces . Introduced as the M11 in 1994, it was built on the previous L10 engine (same cylinder bore, but a longer piston stroke compared to the L10's stroke). Later M11's received the electronic CELECT and CELECT Plus fuel systems consisting of a gear pump and solenoid controlled injectors. The M11 CELECT Plus became the ISM when Cummins applied its Interact System (hence the "IS" in ISM) to the M11 CELECT Plus in 1998 to further improve the engine.
