Lotus (Elisa Album)
''Lotus'' is the fourth studio album by Elisa, released in 2003. Initially idealized as a live album, Lotus became a mix between a studio album (with six new songs), a greatest hits album (due to the seven songs re-recorded from previous albums) and a cover album (three are the covers). The album is predominantly acoustic; following the initial idea, in fact, the album was completely recorded live. The album starts with a cover version of Leonard Cohen's song "Hallelujah" from his 1984 album ''Various Positions''. Elisa Toffoli (born 19 December 1977), performing under the mononym Elisa, is an Italian singer-songwriter. She is one of few Italian musicians to write and record mainly in English. She draws inspiration from many genres such as Pop music, pop, alternative rock, electronica and trip hop. Luce (tramonti A Nord Est)
"Luce (Tramonti a nord est)" (translating to "Light (Sunsets in the North-East)") is Italian singer-songwriter Elisa's most famous song, both in her home Italy and internationally, in its English version "Come Speak to Me". It also has a Spanish version called "Háblame", which has a slightly different arrangement. It was Elisa's first song in Italian, even though she had already released two albums in English. Adelmo Fornaciari (; born 25 September 1955), more commonly known by his stage name Zucchero Fornaciari or simply Zucchero (), is an Italian singer, musician and songwriter. Maurizio Fabrizio (born 16 March 1952) is an Italian composer, conductor, arranger, producer, musician and singer-songwriter. Life and career Born in Milan, after studying at the conservatory in 1969 Fabrizio became a member of the La Scala orchestra as a percussionist under the direction of Claudio Abbado. In 1970 he formed a musical duo with his brother Popi, Maurizio e Fabrizio, recording several singles and entering the main competition at the 21st edition of the Sanremo Music Festival. Bruno Lauzi
Bruno Lauzi (; 8 August 1937 – 24 October 2006) was an Italian singer-songwriter, poet and writer. Biography Bruno Lauzi was born in Asmara, then part of the Italian Eastern Africa, to a Catholic father, Francesco Lauzi and a Jewish mother, Laura Nahum. In the 1960s he moved to Genoa, where he became part of the local music scene and met Gino Paoli, Luigi Tenco and Fabrizio De André. After a spell as song writer for Mia Martini, Georges Moustaki and Ornella Vanoni, Lauzi established himself as a renowned ''cantautore'' (singer-songwriter). "Almeno tu nell'universo" is a song written by Bruno Lauzi and Maurizio Fabrizio and recorded by Italian singer Mia Martini, who released it as a single in 1989 and included the track in the album ''Martini Mia''. "Femme Fatale" is a song by American rock band the Velvet Underground from their 1967 debut album '' The Velvet Underground & Nico'', with lead vocals by Nico. Background The song was composed in the key of C major. At the request of Andy Warhol, band frontman Lou Reed wrote the song about Warhol superstar Edie Sedgwick.
